what is so darn hard about getting out and locking the hubs before you drive through a mud hole simple case in point about two weeks after purchasing my 03 3500 i was driving to a friends house. coming down the road was a tractor pulling a big trailer full of hay bales. it was pretty wide and the road was narrow. i decided to pull over and give him room. unknown to me that wasnt all grass alongside the road - there was a ditch dug in there covered with grass. the right side of the truck dropped about two feet - enough that the skid plate was doing its job. incidentally the tractor passed by with only about 10 to spare. without 4wd i never would have been able to drive out and if i had manual hubs probably couldnt even get to the passenger side to lock it. instead i just flipped the knob and eased it out and back onto the road then spent about 40 minutes hosing all the mud off of my brand-new truck .

the reason the light stays on is to let you know something is wrong which you know by now it lets you know you have a bad bulb either front or rear on left side the indacator on dash does not flash because the bulb does not flash hope this helps .

three or so years ago there was a guy in the group that worked at a dodge dealership and was able to run the vin number for my 1989 dodge ram truck and give me all kinds of neat information about it like factory options recall work done and not done original selling dealer etc. was wondering if he was still around... wondering about the heritage of my dodge dynasty thanks mark -- adopt an orphan i did 1976 chevrolet nova 08/2004-01/2005 1993 mercury cougar 01/2005-05/2005 1986 dodge aries se 05/2005-09/2005 1991 dodge dynasty le 09/2005- contact your local dodge dealer. they can do it for you also. brigitte .

hello all just purchased a 1998 2wd ram 1500 club cab it has the 318 in it and i was just wondering what if anythingdodge has done to change this motor the last 318 i had was in a 72 plymouth scamp and that was probably the easiest motor to work on for me. i have owned 2 other rams a 97 diesel dually 3500 and a 02 diesel dually.had to get rid of the last one after my divorce to cover some bills. anyway i got a killer deal on this truck it was one owner and hes been a mechanic at the dodge dealer i go to for about 20 years. the only problems really are interior. he is about 300+ when i got in the truck i sunk in the seat because he had removed the springs because they were hurting his butt. the only other issue is that the headliner has begun to separate right at the windshield and i was wondering if there is a special adhesive i can purchase to repair it that wont bleed through the grey headliner. if anyone knows their upolstery could they please help me. thanks all jason .

what kind of truck do you drive that weighs 9000# the truck no. a truck loaded with materials and tools can easily exceed 9000 gvwr in a srw 3500 is 9900lbs. i was being conservative. since nate uses his truck for work and not so much recreation the possibility is pretty good that if were to get it stuck it would be with a decent load in the bed. and again with more being better and the price difference between the 10.5k and 12k winches $200 why not get the greater capacity something else to consider - winches are at their rated capacity on the first wrap only. for the 12k winch on the 2nd wrap of 3/8 cable youre down to 9400lbs. on the 10.5k winch youre down to 8500 on the 2nd wrap. again - just my opinion but if i were to put one on my truck i wouldnt think twice about going with the larger unit. .

i have a 97 dakota 4x4 club cab v6 auto. about 75% of the time when i turn the key it starts and then dies. there doesnt seem to be any rhyme or reason why. cold or warm...sitting for a while or starting again immediately...it still does the same thing. this is how i have to start it when i have this problem i turn the key and give it a little gas. i then back the rpms down to around 600 and hold it there for a couple seconds. then i ease off the gas slowly and it will usually hold and run fine. if i start it and do anything else it dies. for example yesterday morning it started fine. i drove my 5 minutes to work parked it and turned it off. i then tried to start it again and the above problem occurred. other times i start it in the morning or afternoon and have the problem immediately. it gives off no trouble codes and has good fuel pressure 50 when its running. battery seems strong it starts quick every time and ive disconnected/reconnected it as well to reset the computer. if anyone has any suggestions they think might help id really love to hear them here or on email. thanks tracy .
