my book doesnt have an edition number if its from mp it has a copyright date and later manuals have edition numbers. ill paraphrase the 340-360 manifolds are recommended for the 273-318 heads even though the ports are larger than the ports in the head. ahh yes the paraphrase. the little tool that lets you forget the must use 340-360 gaskets and even though the ports are larger than the ports in the head and the most important one the single 4-barrel intake manifold for the 273-318 was the 1966-67 273 power pak. but if this mainifold cannot be found i think that might be the key here and a used piece is desired iow you think it recommends the 340-360 manifold when all it does is say it can be used if you want a used piece and not a new one. if you wish to dispute this recommendation take it up with mopar. i dont dispute the statements they made... i refute your interpretation and the effort made to discredit not only myself but red as well. next time read what the book says and compare it to what a couple of fairly if not very experienced mopar nuts have to say about it. looks damn near the same if ya ask me. if you wish to dispute this consult reality. max anvils dont kill cartoon characters cartoon characters kill cartoon characters. .

wouldnt a 4-barrel of the same size give better off-idle throttle response the debate here would center on venturi size versus engine size. while a 4bbl might have smaller primaries the holley 2bbl would have good off idle response since its venturi are of a comparable size. another factor would be timing and beyond that camshaft. ive run a 318 with a 2bbl and had nearly the same performance as a 318 with a 4bbl on a 340 manifold. in that comparison it is worth noting that the 2bbl car also had 2.76 gearing while the 4bbl had 3.23s. both cars got decent fuel economy but the 4bbl had a bit more jump off the line though the cars were relatively the same top end. i later switched the 2bbl car to a holley 600cfm 1850 list # and it ran like a demon dart sport actually possesssed. however from an engine builders perspective i also know how much i was losing to the port mismatch in size. max anvils dont kill cartoon characters cartoon characters kill cartoon characters. .

anyway...what do you guys think i think if the temps are anything like they are here yer crazy for using a/c.....but anyway.... i found thta my 00 lost its charge at the beginning of last summer. had it checked for leaks and recharged and all was well. not sure if they under charged it at the factory or what since it now cools better than it ever did. other than lookign at your truck i cant tell ya exactly whats going on but id check it after warmer weather shows up and find a reputable a/c place. max anvils dont kill cartoon characters cartoon characters kill cartoon characters. .

its interesting to note that the mopar engines manual recommends using 340-360 manifold on the smaller port 318. i am sure somebody on e bay has a performer for a 318 which has the correct ports for 318 heads. all the bs about using a 360 one is just that bs. any of these posters telling you to do that need to have a predawn visit from you!!!! the ports on the 360 are so much bigger and cause so much reversion youll hate the truck or yourself for doing it that way a nice 600 cfm holley/carter whatever willl work fine ill start watching reality tv shows when i can vote people off the planet. .

not really. it takes more than a suspicion of terrorist support to attack another country. there is no doubt that the saudis have been supporting islamic fundamentalists. they were the principal financial backer of afghanistans taliban movement. they have also supported hamas. this is not speculation. .

my 1975 dodge 1/2 ton 360 w/ fulltime 4x4 truck has an excessive amount of play in the steering. i tried purging air from the power steering system but that didnt help. obviously this truck has been around for a while and i was wondering if this were a common problem that may be isolated to a specific worn part. do the steering pumps need rebuilding after a while the steering works great and i havent had any problem with the actual function of the power steering. theres just too much loose play in the steering wheel before the wheels actually start turning. the tierods all look ok and i dont think its a problem with the hubs or bearings. thanks in advance for your help! borgeson make a piece that should cure most of your problem. roy .
