vibration over 40

Q: i have a 1993 dodge dakota sport extracab w/3.8l v6 & 4wd 156000 miles above 35 mph theres a vibration that can be felt through the shifter. o is no vibration - is when the vibration starts or ends and + is the full feeling of the vibration. each symbol denotes one second. 40mph oo-+++++-oo 60mph o-+++-o 80mph +++++ non stop-no cyclic vibration-just constant its not extreme enough to make noise but i can feel it through the shifter easily. it isnt shaking the truck. it doesnt matter which gear the truck is in or if its just coasting in neutral whether the clutch is depressed or not. ive had the truck for about 7000 miles and have noticed it since i bought it. the tires are fine and balanced. anyone have any ideas thanks -- richard sobe .

you could have a bad u-joint. or you drive shaft could be bent and need balancing. i have a 1993 dodge dakota sport extracab w/3.8l v6 & 4wd 156000 miles above 35 mph theres a vibration that can be felt through the shifter. o is no vibration - is when the vibration starts or ends and + is the full feeling of the vibration. each symbol denotes one second. 40mph oo-+++++-oo 60mph o-+++-o 80mph +++++ non stop-no cyclic vibration-just constant its not extreme enough to make noise but i can feel it through the shifter easily. it isnt shaking the truck. it doesnt matter which gear the truck is in or if its just coasting in neutral whether the clutch is depressed or not. ive had the truck for about 7000 miles and have noticed it since i bought it. the tires are fine and balanced. anyone have any ideas thanks .
