unfixable 97 Dodge Ram 1500 3.9L misfires and dies

Q: about 1 year ago my ram 1500 3.9l started misfiring until it was up to operating temperature. there was no check engine light. mechanics replaced wires and plugs and cleaned throttle body. they also scoped it and reset computer memory. it improved for about two weeks then returned with vengeance. additionally it misfired whenever i accelerated or started up hills. 3 weeks ago it stalled as i drove down the highway and would not resume normal running. the mechanic replaced distributor thermostat and ran tests. on my way home from the shop it stalled on the highway and would not run at all. the mechanic replaced the computer. it ran much better with the new computer but still stalled on the highway on the way home from the shop and would not resume normal running. this time there was a check engine light. the mechanic says my new rebuilt computer has been burned out by something but he was not sure what. he says my truck misfires fairly regularly but he cant find why and that the computer was compensating. i could use some talking points and ideas if not solutions! this problem is now over $1500 and two weeks down through the holidays! freeman .

they said people were flying past them doing 40 or more... and they passed most of them when they were ass-backwards in the ditches... he said this afternoon that there was at least 1 in the ditch every 3 or 4 miles... lol isnt it amazing years ago in nd i was out on the road just after nightfall this unforecasted blizzard came in. snowing like everything and anything. 90 below windchill factor. i was out on the interstate. pulled over to the right put on 4 ways and drove about 10-15 mph following the white line. every so often another car would come up on me and go flying by about 40 or so. yep couple miles down the road there would be flashing lights with the car in the ditch. i guess some people never learn. i think its great. been out playing with the 4 by late at night. just like to keep in practice for snowy icy road driving. followed a county sheriff down the road last night. he was sideways about 1/2 the time. just kept my distance and stayed behind him course id have offered to pull him out if hed have went in the ditch forecast is for more snow tommorrow and tue!!!!!!!!!! hey we got all these californians up here and you should hear them whine!!!!!!! go back to california!!!!!!!!! bg ill start watching reality tv shows when i can vote people off the planet. .
