Q: nathan w. collier wrote im getting ready to fit my 05 dually with a service body and im wondering what the fair market value is on the original truck bed. the bed is in brand new condition only a couple hundred miles on the truck!. with a service bed on the dually i have no use for the truck bed. thanks whatever someone will pay. not trying to be a smart assbut thats the plain fact. put it on ebay for 99.00 no reserve and it will sell for what its worth in my opinion. clay .

on thu 07 jul 2005 153748 gmt tbone t-bonenospam@nc.rr.com wrote those rear wheel anti-lock brakes are a worthless pos. i disabled mine and the truck stops better than it ever did with them enabled. perhaps the 4 wheel abs works well going by toms claims but the rear wheel abs does not appear to be well designed at least not on my 97. yeah it probably makes a difference t... i love the 4 wheel abs on the dakota... my guess is that they put it on the rear drums of the rams to keep the ass end from passing you when you stop quick.. lol mac please remove splinters before emailing .

i got my new 2005 pw a few weeks ago. at first the gas mileage scared the shit out of me 11.8 mpg then i took it out loaded with the family in it and got 15.8 mpg hwy and 12.6 in town. not bad considering my 2003 1500 5.9 v8 gets 15.9 mpg hwy and 10.3 in town. i also towed with the pw 27 ft trailer 5500 lbs and got 10.1 mpg. these numbers are low but higher than i expected with this massive truck. .

..bob bobcowan@access4less.nospam.net stated which i then commented on below i used a hypertech tuner on my truck. best investment i ever made for this truck. huge improvement slightly better gas mileage about 2-3mpg and better transmission control. i should have done this as soon as i bought the truck. hypertech offers two levels of tune. i tried the max power tune. didnt notice any difference fuel mileage went down and it really pinged - bad on mid grade fuel slightly on premium fuel. so i use the mid grade tune. even with the mid grade tune i would get some pinging when i did moderate towing 3500# unless i had premium fuel. so i installed a 180* thermostat and some water wetter. now it runs even better. last time i towed i beat it hard on a moderately hot day trying to make it ping on mid grade fuel. didnt happen. go to the factory web site and see exactly what the tuner will do for your truck. ads in most catalogs and sellers web sites list what the tuner can. but some of those features have an asterisk next to them and the footnote says some features are not available for all vehicles. on my truck the hypertech tuner does not allow changing the shift points or adjusting the speedometer for non-stock tires. in short buy any one of them that meets your requirements. its the quickest and best improvement you can make. thanks bob! sounds like a plan. i like the write up on the hypertech. i saw another one called the edge power juice but that is pretty expensive and would have to get under the hood to remove it if i were to take it in for warranty work. sounds like the hypertech iii is the one. ace .

times by successful marketeers. as long as you let as many forums know that its for sale and as many people as you can it will sell for its value. the opposite is also true. if you set a higher reserve price you tend to get a lower high bid. the reason is people get frustrated trying to find the reserve price and quit bidding. when this happens you lose the bidding competition and you get a lower overall bid. you could set your first bid at your lowest selling price but this is usually higher than will attract any real interest and again lose your bidding competition. know one has to try it if they cant stomach it but it works and i do it all the time. clay . 222 302691 1csdnekeuyugf1dfrvn-sw@comcast.com i would like to know if anyone can tell me if there should be a 4-prong plug on my 2003 dodge ram 1500 pickup. i have the round-type plug installed to pull a camper but need to pull a 15-foot jon boat on a trailer and the trailer has a 4-prong sorry i cant think of the proper terminology for it! plug for the lights. if there is not one can someone tell me if there is an adapter i can purchase that will allow me to plug the 4-prong plug into the round-type plug on my hitch. tia hawkeye65 .
