Q: i dont know of any aftermarket variable pulley/belt od but the factory 518 is an easy swap if you have a small block or look at the gearvendors unit at http//www.gearvendors.com/ what if its an older model 318 72 or 73 will the newer 89+ modle 518 transmissions still work. i have seen some for jeeps etc 5.2l 5.9l. what would i look under to find an older 518 factory tranny that would hold up under my 1-ton van and bolt to an older 318 does anyone know a vendor that sells front end kits for 70s sportsman/tradesman vans by front end right now i mean bumper/air dam/hood componets .
