trans cooler on 2001 durango

Q: i have 2 lines coming from the trans but hard to see where they go. i think they go to the radiator but not sure. it is a 4.7 l 4x4 3.55 gear. does anyone know if these came stock with a transmission cooler thanks .

your durango probably doesnt have an extra cooler. just the stock in the radiator one. 92 d150 with 318 probably has an a500 light duty 3 speed auto with overdrive -- do you have an overdrive switch on the dash .

i have 2 lines coming from the trans but hard to see where they go. i think they go to the radiator but not sure. yep. look on the passenger side of the radiator... should see the two transmission lines. the stock transmission cooler or warmer depending... is inside the side tank of the radiator. does anyone know if these came stock with a transmission cooler thanks its possible that the towing package added an auxillary oil-to-air cooler mounted in front of the radiator but all automatic vehicles come with the oil-to-water cooler integrated into the radiator. .

and thanks for the tips on what to look for. if after the front rotors are replaced and there is still an issue well i will deal with it at that time next week and probably request the dodge tech guy from corp look into it and see whats up. sounds like youre in pretty good hands with the dealership... best of luck with the truck and try not to have too much fun .

that brings up a interesting point.am wondering if mine has a heavy duty cooling or the towing package. its a 1992 d-150 ram with the magnum v6.it too has lines ran to radiator. also is there a easy way to tell what transmission i have.someone told me today its the torq-flight 3sp.it dose not have push button to lock up the torque-converter. alsodoes anyone know how to de-code the vin number.if so please let me know. thanks michael .
