tranny troubles 96 Dodge truck

Q: on the lift with the truck in gear the speedo doesnt move until after 20-25 mph even though the output shaft sensor reading varies directly with observed shaft movement. aw heck - if you would have said that to begin with... yeah classic symptoms of a failed rear wheel speed sensor. speedometer reading comes from this sensor via the abs controller - not the trans output sensor. abs+brake lights+funky speedometer == bad rwss. .

i have a ram 1999 4x4 1500 quad cab. two days ago the battery went dead because we left the cell phone plugged in to the power outlet im assuming thats how it died. i went out last night and charged it up enough for it to start. but as soon as i would take my foot off the gas the truck would instantly die. it would start back up just fine but would not stay running unless i had my foot on the gas. a friend of mine came over and tested the battery and found that it was only up to 7 volts. i had charged it for about an hour and 30 minutes. is the battery dead dead as in something happened to it where it cant be charged back up to 12 volts and if it is dead would that be the reason the truck dies when i take my foot off the gas the friend also said something about a fuel pressure fuse that may have been blown and thats why it dies but i couldnt find anything like that. im asking because i was gonna go buy a new battery today. thansk for any help. steve .

any one have any experience using yokohama tires specifically the geolander at+ iis im looking to get a new set for my 96 ram cc 5.9l 4x2. i do mostly on road driving but like the option of a/t tires when it snows or if i have to go off the road. i am currently running on a set of cooper vipers that served me very well over the last 50k miles and it turns out they are no longer made. i like the wranglers by goodyear but they typically wear out fast in my own experience i had eagles on a car and they wore down quickly and the wranger rt/s on the ram wore down in about 40k. the cooper vipers were great better ratings then the goodyears and looked better too. what kind of tires have you been riding on. any suggestions/recommendations again i have a 2 wheel drive 96 ram 1500 cc w/ the 5.9 and drive mostly street in nj thanks i would stay with a us made tire if it were me. sooner or later we will all regret the money we sent overseas when our jobs and country disappear. btw the goodyear rt/s on my 97 br 2wd lasted 60k with regular tire rotations. mike .
