my email to stanadyne last year resulted in a response from them to keep using their product no surprise but the refineries would be adding lubricity @ the refinery to make up for it. it would be interesting to hear from someone @ a refinery to confirm this. .

on a 2004 durango every couple of weeks when i turn the headlights off the lights actually stay on. if i turn the switch back on and then off i hear a relay or i think i do and the lights go off. is this typically a switch a relay or some other really expensive component neither - it sounds like a feature. next time they stay on wait 1-2 minutes and i bet they go out by themselves. if you turn off the engine and then the lights the lights stay on to illuminate your path for a bit say walking from your driveway to your house. if you dont want this to happen turn off the lights first then the engine. .

or he could buy a real truck like a kenworth or peterbuilt. in all seriousness an fl50 would make a nice hauler for that 5th wheel. the only problem is thats all its good for - whereas the pickup can serve double/triple-duty as a hauler a work truck and a people mover. .

ive a question. regarding the sensor placment. why not put it in the line out of the transmissinon why because im an idiot thats why of course it should go in the output line and thats where mine is - as the replacement cooler line i referenced is about 6 feet too short to replace the return line. i must have had a brain cramp. thanks for the catch. of note... see i posted something wrong... i was corrected. no harm no foul... no ranting raving arguing etc. simply amazing... .

wondering who offers what in regards to a torque splitter for my 05 cummins powered dodge it would work out well if i could use stock gearing most of the time and a torque splitter when towing heavy. thanks -- nathan in montana what are you calling a torque sitter do you mean a gear vendors unit www.gearvendors.com al .

please see http//inlinediesel.com/forum/topic.asptopicid=617 and give me your feedback and advice. thanks in addition id definitely recommend a trans temp gauge. they go for about $55. i also recommend installing the sensor in the return line from the cooler. if youve got a flaring tool and get some an fittings you can do this yourself - otherwise i recommend a $75 replacement cooler line from mass diesel that has the port already installed. ive a question. regarding the sensor placment. why not put it in the line out of the transmissinon i would think that would give a true reading as to the temp. wouldnt putting it in the return line give you the temp of the cooled fluid. might as well put it in the pan imo. gotta have that double deep pulled about 10 degrees off of my temp. .

what could a harness cost we bought an 87 dakota when they first came out and had to get a 91 with club cab when our son was born. drove it for 240000 miles and had a cracked block. should have gotten a new engine but bought an 03 dakota that my wife now drives every day. well the guy i sold the 91 to had a new block put in and repainted it. drove great for 4 years but now has problems with the computer wiring harness and might sell or trade it back to me. since we dont need emissions checked on 91 vehicles here i was wondering how much work it would be to rip that computer out of the truck and drive it for another 15 years. since its a 318 i should be able to find a manifold & carb. would i have to get another transmission since its controlled by the computer the trannys not %100 anyway. what are my non-electric tranny choices .
