thinking of buying 01 dodge diesel advice

Q: sounds like you have to much high voltage. did you replace the coil with a higher voltage version did you replace the wires with a lower voltage version can you put the old wires and or coil back on one at a time and try that. if you use the wrong wires high voltage cables or too high a voltage from the coil you could be creating an arc short to ground before the voltage gets to the plugs. when you unplug the wire slightly you are actually creating two arcs one at the unplug location and one at the sp. the voltage is thus reduced going to the plugs because part of it is used up at the unplugged location.. no it has a single pick up coil and a ballast resistor which have both been replaces .

with all the internet diesel debates going on i decided it was time to take the bull by the horns and test them all for myself. i took an 05 cummins powered 3500 dodge ram an 05 power stroke powered ford f350 king ranch and an 05 duramax powered 3500 chevy silverado and i put them together head to head in an all out blood bath death-match. im just the tester who tested these trucks. please dont be angry with me if you dont like the results....im just a messenger here bringing you a message of factual scientific results based upon reasonable expectations and real world testing. http//inlinediesel.com/deathmatch dial up beware! -d -- nathan w. collier http//inlinediesel.com http//7slotgrille.com http//utilityoffroad.com http//bighornrefrigeration.com .

runs as though it is running out of gas.usually feel a hesitation when accelerating lightly although it deteriorates to backfiring and stumbling ..sometimes seems to get better if the engine is turned off and restarted.can make accelerate smoother if you feather the throttle.if you hold it to the floor it runs fine.always starts right up.changed fuel pump.might run fine one day although seems to be running worse lately for longer periods.39 lbs fuel pressure doesnt vary.injectors test at 14.6 ohms.the belly pan and intake i replaced same problem.the cam position sensor is new and synced to +6.it stays unvarying in degrees.throttle position sensor is new and adjusted correctly.the crank position sensor has been reading no signal on my tester last couple of scans although the timing can be seen advancing.the injectors are opening for 2 milliseconds currently.the 02 sensor has been reading rich whether closed or open mode lately.the map sensor appears to be varying voltage correctly.the computer has been changed out to no avail.19 inches of vacuum at idle and steady.the problem continues whether egr is hooked up or bypassed.temperature sensors are reading correctly.before i throw more money at thisi was going to replace the map sensor first the crank position sensor next and then the 02 sensorsame problem whether cold or hot.any one have suggestions .

a cold one to the group on me. i made it another year older and am still breathing and slowly kicking. my b-i-l is taking me down to the trap shoot/gun show at vandalia for the day and then the junk food begins out at the county fair this evening. the only way it could get any better is if a luscious blond came up and gave me a big hug. sit back down roy.... vbg denny .
