gee and my ancient and stock 162000 mile 90 1/2 ton 5.7l 4spd auto 3.42 rear geared pick up hauls my race car and trailer just fine in od if i am pulling it in overdrive on the thruway or wherever going 65mph it feels like i have to almost floor it to get enough to keep a consistent speed sometimes. especially if there are some hills not steep. sometimes i have to punch it to get back to the speed i was kind of if i had cruise control on this is an enclosed trailer around 2000 pounds with sleds.i noticed if i turn the overdrive off it seems much smoother and no problems of course the engine is revving higher. i understand there is a lot of drag with enclosed trailers. but this isnt a lot of weight. when exactly are you supposed to turn the overdrive off i know in the city i should turn it off. can i turn it off at speeds that high will it make gas mileage a lot worse by the way it was very windy today. thanks a lot. .

so whats wrong with a 89-93 they are built strongerhave a solid front axle and a better auto..they do ride like a chuck wagon though. anyone know where i could get one of these for under $9k must be 94 or newer std trans 4wd diesel. dont need a big cab or anything fancy just a good worker. not having much luck searching the web; most sites wont let me narrow my search by fuel type. thanks curt maybe you should try looking at a local car lot or your local paper ill start watching reality tv shows when i can vote people off the planet. .
