rockers clattering

Q: hello everyone i fired my new rebuilt 360 today and the rockers/valves were clattering pretty loud. i let it run for a couple of minutes and it didnt quiet down. i pulled one of the valve covers and can see it is getting oil. does anyone know what might be causing the clattering i was able to move some of the rockers from side to side a bit. might that be what is causing it if so what would be your suggestions to fix it thanks for your help guy lee .

im not exactly sure. i bought it online from a reseller. it came shipped in an ac-delco crate. it looked as if it were new rockers etc. im sorry i dont have more information. thanks guy i fired my new rebuilt 360 today whats your definition of rebuilt some guys figure running a hand hone and hand lapping the valves using the same bearing etc constitutes a rebuild new cam new lifters new rocker arms stock adjustable pretty hard to see what you did on that rebuild from here ill start watching reality tv shows when i can vote people off the planet. .
