rebuilt carb not puting out gas...

Q: snoman wrote i am looking at an 85 ramcharger for $3000. the truck looks good but the quoted text clipped - 15 lines slm it is 20 years old and it is not unusual for some things to have been repaired by now. wheel bearing failure in a old 4x4 is not that rare if they have not been properly serviced. typically the seals in front hubs go bad and grease dries out or water gets in and bearings fail. my suggestion is if you buy it tear down the front axle hubs and inspect all bearing and replace seals and repack with fresh grease. i cannot comment on transfer case issue without knowing more about what may have been wrong. if it really is clean and cherry the price may not be too bad either though you did not comment on how many miles are on it which can play a big factor in its value. -- message posted via carkb.com http//www.carkb.com/uwe/forums.aspx/dodge-truck/200506/1 .
