i dont understand are you having a problem the way the engine runs or is your problem with the hvac system if it is the hvac system it wouldnt be a vacuum problem if you had a loss of vacuum to the doors it would automatically default to the defrost mode as a safety issue not to the floor i finally got around to checking things out on my dogkota. some observations if i put the heater control on panel while cruising down the highway it will continue to come out on the floor until i let off the throttle. no surprise there since the engines such a dog you have to have your foot in it all the time so theres hardly any vacuum. i put on a vacuum gauge @ idle 21 hg normal range and steady needle. checked the ign timing and its on 10 btc right where its supposed to be probably ruling out a stretched timing chain. sprayed carb cleaner along intake manifold and etc. looking for vac leaks. ignition parts are a little worn but decent. throttle body was clean. there are no codes except a couple of history codes that dont pertain. oil pressure guage reads low someone posted on here to switch to mobil one and it cured a similar problem on his similar truck. i did and it didnt. gauge

i know these are no powerhouses but when the blend door on the heater wont even function at 55 on cruise control that shows you how far the throttle has to be open just to go 55! and like i said no surprise since thats exactly what it drives like. as far as driveability besides having to have your toenails in the radiator to get moving it has a considerable stumble taking off from stopsigns quite bad when cold. and it seems to idle too high and i find myself bumping it up into neutral when coming to stoplights. i suppose setting idle down would make it die on takeoff due to the stumble. sorry for the long post just trying to be thorough. tia . 222 294905 yoodne5doimjfshcrvn-ug@comcast.com it could be covered under a recall bendix 10 or it could be your responsibilty to pay for it if the piston seals or pump motor check valve is bad or if the pump is just worn out chrysler will cover it if the accumulator is bad this will be your responsibilty i do however recommend you replacing the low side filter when you take it to the shop most people dont know there is a filter and no chrysler did not put it in a maintenance program but you need to get it fixed soon cause you may loose pressure to stop the vehicle if you plan on keeping this vehicle you may want to have the dual function pressure switch replaced also glenn beasley chrysler tech subject safety recall #685 -- abs actuator piston and pump/motor assemblies models vehicles listed below equipped with a bendix-10 antilock brake system . 1991 through 1993 model year dodge caravan/grand caravan; plymouth voyager/grand voyager; and chrysler town & country as . late-1990 through 1993 model year dodge dynasty; chrysler new yorker salon ac fifth avenue and imperial ay . 1991 and 1992 model year eagle premier and dodge monaco bb note 1990 vehicles built through march 261990 mdh 0326xx are equipped with a bosch antilock brake system and therefore are not included in this recall or the extended warranty. the abs light is staying on on my brothers 93 caravan. code from a snap-on scanner is 17. all 4 wheel sensors are ok. with engine off or running the pump motor comes on when stepping on the brake pedal. any ideas of which direction to go in -- bruce grant westminster md 95 2500 club 4x4w/dynatrac manual hubs cummins/auto 265/70rx19.5g .

sounds like the distributor on the /6 wasnt kept lubed well enough. ive had a few /6s and never had any trouble but then i would tear down the unit at every tune up . . .well the easy way to put in points was to pull the distributor right so id lube it at the same time. -- budd whats the difference between a bad golfer and a bad skydiver one goes whack darn and the other goes darn whack. on sun 12 dec 2004 155042 -0500 budd cochran wrote joel clean the grease and crud from the front of the engine right under the drivers side head above the power steering pump if you have one and see if some numbers are stamped on the engine on the area thats a vertical machined flat surface. they should read 318 340 or 360 with 318 and 360 being the normal truck engine sizes but i wouldnt put it past someone swapping in a 340. there should be a manufacturing date and possible a serial number also iirc. also the small block engines have the distributor in the back just in case yours has it up front and tilted toward the passenger side big block swapped in vbg. most big block numbers are on the machined pad next to

try www.mydodgeparts.com you can send them a email on sun 12 dec 2004 084709 -0500 maxpower wrote your local dodge dealer does anyone have a link to a dodge parts supplier on line. preferably with specifications. you wouldnt think that they would be hard to find but i am looking for an oil dipstick. i have an 87 dodge d-100 custom. i believe it started with a slant six. that has been replaced with a v-8. i thought it was a 318 and ordered a dipstick it was about 3 inches to long. the stick that i currently have is 29 inches long from the end to the stop for the tube. yes i have done the change the oil and filter to check if it is the correct stick. any help is appreciated. ordered the one that was wrong from my local dodge dealer. you think that they would have specs on their parts. .

maybe we should just call you pinky-poo -- budd at least i aint a member of the sissy seat society.... denny thats true you are a member of the very wide seat society....... roy remember folks this is coming from the pudge that traded his little sports car for a pick up truck so his ass would fit. and a 2wd at that. you know some people have a height problem.. vbg denny now ya gotta get it right. i sold the z06 although fyi people that weigh in excess of 300 pounds have no problem driving them. sorry friend i really didnt realize you were that pudgy..... that means that one of your girth my furry friend could drive a vette with room to spare. that makes me what about 175-200 lbs shy of your acreage... anyway sue wanted a tahoe z-71. i jumped out of the snow plowing and didnt have any use for a 2500 4x4 diesel so that went with the business. i still wanted a pick up for use around the house and towing the atvs so the lightning was just the truck. i wish it was a 4x4 though. with regard to a height problem you are taller than me. only with your ears up. bfg i liked the way my version fitted my needs better.... bg ill take my bengles over your pats if you give me 17 points... you game denny your on!! if ya lose you have to use the following as a sig until next sunday. i am a 300 pound pink rabbit gbmfg roy and if you loose youll be pudgy-wudgy..... bg denny looks like ill be pudgy-wudgy for a week. but then again my pats beat the bengals. i dont know where your bengels were playing but they probably lost. bfg roy .

tom byrum wrote ed try resetting the fuel tables. this usually can be done by disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes. if this dosent help you may have a bad o2 sensor im getting a code p0171on my 2000 durango. i replaced the plugs and air cleaner but no luck. the plugs were very black. also notice the fuel smells funny very sweet however i filled up my jeep at the same station on the same day and no trouble w/ it. any suggestions thanks ed another problem may be the map sensor. when the key is turned on initially the pcm reads the map sensor as a barometric sensor. if the sensor is out of calibration then it could be the root of the problem. i live in nc at around sea level. the map sensor should read around 4.5v with the turned on and the engine not running. the map sensor voltage will go down the higher in elevation that you go. .
