parking brake location

Q: is the parking brake on the dakota located as a foot pedal or hand pull to the left of the steering column or as a hand pull to the right of the steering column or as a hand pull in the console area thanks. .

on mon 19 apr 2004 084851 -0400 dixie69redneck dixie69redneck@nospam.yahoo.com wrote depends on year. i have an 04 and its a foot pedal. the release is right above it. same with the 2001 had one hell of a time finding the release the 1st time.. lol no shit. i have an 01 also and dont care for the release - its not in the easiest position to pull it. perhaps if my wrist rotated 360 degrees... .

thanks -- and i assume allof this means it is a foot pedal really i do appreciate feedback on this group -- all of us get carried away occassionally in our responses so i want to make cetain this is the dakota. parking brake .
