overdrive upgrade question

From : dodgevangogh

Q: ok its me again since im going to have to pull my old motor out and drop the tranny i was wondering if there is a way to upgrade the older 727 long-shaft dodge 72 3 speed. i am interested but dont know how thesiable it would be to convert to a push-button type overdrive. from what i understand it is not actually a gear but more of a rubberband type drive would i be able to have this done at a shop if not is there and aftermarket/swap i could do .
