Q: on fri 18 aug 2006 181536 -0400 dave lee wrote what thermostat did you put in thermostat from the dodge dealer. im not sure about this particular but sometimes you have a marginal choice in temps for instance a 180 or 160 thermostat. .

ive been looking at the fram boost what do you know of this. i would run from anything that said fram on it... the scotty system is developed by a guy that actually uses some would say abuses his truck and its only designed for the ram - not some generic filter that can be sold to any truck owner with a change in piping. it produces the coolest air to the turbo because its completely sealed off from the engine compartment. it takes air from the stock location inner fender panel as well as a ram air through the front grill. its plastic housing is a better insulator from engine heat than a metal heat shield. as i said i used to run one of these and my oil analysis results confirmed that the filter was doing its job not to mention the spotless intake tube. now for the big question do you think its worth buy as far as its cost verses the normal cost of air flow management dodge air filter for those slow ones -- moparman---remove clothes to reply --scud coordinates 32.61204 north 96.92993 west-- .

i wouldnt go with drilled rotors as they cool faster than flat or slotted which is good for sports cars but can more readily cause warping through the heating/cooling cycle. i replaced my front rotors and pads with brembo parts on a 99 ram 1500 and it was very easy and inexpensive as i recall less than $300. any thoughts on which brand brake pads to replace with seem to be more than a few to choose from. also any thoughts on repalceing the rotors with something slotted etc...dodge delaer quoted me $750 for a brake job fornt and rear. figure i can do it for about half that if not a little less. .
