transmission wont bolt up if its a real hemi 426 ok thanks for that. youll f*ck it up worse by causing codes out the arse; whats to screw up with an fi set-up it is all coming out and going back to basic shit. carb vacuum advance distributor kettering g etc etc. didnt you see the hot rod it comment probably dont know what kettering is anyway. this group has appeared to have changed little in the past 6 months since i last visited. experts and authorities on everything still in full fledge i see. and do you have emissions testing if so youre really screwed well duh no we do not. one of the joys of living in a small country region in a state that has some consideration for the part-time pursuits of the adults living therein. unlike ca mn etc etc it wont thanks for that. this is one of those sounds good on a bar-stool. but the reality is a bitch type of projects now i am not sure whether you were really trying to help or just chest thump. ill assume the former and thank you for the useful parts of your info. to answer the other guy no i am not moving my double wide dont have one as it happens and not sure i am happy with that redneck assumption. the 95 has been put to pasture and i decided rather than sell it for a few hundred bucks id lower it toss some grunt into it repaint it. i dont intend to show it but i do liek to drive it. i also have a 1954 ford 2-door i was about to rebuild to a street rod and decided i liked the truck more so will give it first priority. the ford can rust a little more in the interim. i think you guys need to get out more. vbg dave. .

sensor 2 usually refers to the one behind the converter -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving all the test engine light on my wifes 1999 dodge ram 1500 van came on today. i put a obdii tester on it and it showed a p0138 code meaning o2 sensor circuit high volts bank 1 sensor 2. i crawled under the van and found two o2 sensors one before and one after the catalytic converter. does anyone know which sensor is the one indicated bank 1 sensor 2 thanks! dave young .

hi john elephant hemi or 5.7 hemi it doesnt say but i am guessing elephant as 5.7l sure aint 426 cubes. http//www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/productdisplayprrfnbr=169647&prmenbr=361 dave by the time you get done with that swap your into it for probably 16+k. you might be served doing a small block with a turbo or a blower. the results will be close and youll save a few grand imo. roy .

steve et al i was under the impresion that disc brakes would be an improvement. i dont haul or tow a lot dodge ram 1500 but this summer i do hope to pull a travel trailer some. i have had disc brakes in the past and the servicing for me was simpler than drum brakes. heat is of course a factor where i live but water is a dont care. if i deal with wet brakes once in 10 years it is often. thanks for the responses. bob az .

hi john elephant hemi or 5.7 hemi it doesnt say but i am guessing elephant as 5.7l sure aint 426 cubes. http//www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/productdisplayprrfnbr=169647&prmenbr=361 the 426 is affectionately known as the elephant motor partly due to its large size. when it comes to engine swaps i go by the philosopy that anything will fit in anything but the ease of the swap depends a lot on ones fabrication skills. youre in luck if you intend to keep the present automatic trans because its fairly easy to wire its controls without a computer. there are several types of adapters to mate the hemi to your automatic. after fabricating front engine mounts the other problems would be plumbing the fuel and exhaust i dont think the hemi would be happybeing funneled through your single cat exhaust. another hurdle is trying to deal with the computer; it will sense the missing fuel/ignition components and react accordingly. it can be done but easy i wouldnt think so. .
