new htr core, new wtr pump, new radiator, still no heat

From : barry micockinerjoseph myers

Q: i took my truck in because the heater core was leaking fluid under the dash. the heater core was replaced i picked up the truck and the heat was not as it was before. took it back. shop said the radiator flunked a flow test so they insisted a new one would solve the problem. picked it up still no heat like before shop says this will be the best i can expect. i suspect they did something wrong under the dash. i get lukewarm air at best please suggest what i can go back and tell them to look for they insist that all the doors are operating properly but there is just no heat. this just cant be right thanks in advance barry -- people are more violently opposed to fur than leather because it is easier to harass rich women than it is motorcycle gangs. .

your best bet is another shop. it is probably the air door it gets jammed on the wrong side of the locating tab when putting the shell back together. joe on mon 29 dec 2003 094546 -0800 barry micockiner cuervojoseremove@jps.net wrote i took my truck in because the heater core was leaking fluid under the dash. the heater core was replaced i picked up the truck and the heat was not as it was before. took it back. shop said the radiator flunked a flow test so they insisted a new one would solve the problem. picked it up still no heat like before shop says this will be the best i can expect. i suspect they did something wrong under the dash. i get lukewarm air at best please suggest what i can go back and tell them to look for they insist that all the doors are operating properly but there is just no heat. this just cant be right thanks in advance barry .

is when i took out the crank sensor it had a wear mark on it like something was rubbing on it. now does it need to be shimmed or do i need to are you sure were talking about the crankshaft position sensor and not the camshaft position sensor the crank sensor just installs - no special care needed. the cam sensor when installed new has a spacer on the end of it designed to wear away. this is for proper spacing of the sensor. if you installed the cam sensor when the cam in the wrong position or installed it too deep its possible the high spot on the cam sprocket fragged the sensor. if it is the cam sensor theres a special procedure that needs to be followed for proper installation. lets verify were talking about the correct sensor first and take it from there. .

another thing that occurs to me is the possibility of the thermostat going out. with that much distrubance in the cooling system it may have gotten some gunk in it which is keeping it from working properly. as someone suggested i would also try a different shop. any mechanic that says thats as good as its going to get after theyve returned my truck in a non-functioning state doesnt work on it again. at least not without an excellent explanation including supporting documentation. i took my truck in because the heater core was leaking fluid under the dash. the heater core was replaced i picked up the truck and the heat was not as it was before. took it back. shop said the radiator flunked a flow test so they insisted a new one would solve the problem. picked it up still no heat like before shop says this will be the best i can expect. i suspect they did something wrong under the dash. i get lukewarm air at best please suggest what i can go back and tell them to look for they insist that all the doors are operating properly but there is just no heat. this just cant be right thanks in advance barry .
