new headlights

Q: i bought projector headlights and installed them tonight. the low beams are working but i am getting a back feed on the high beams. let me explain the low beams are bright but the high beam indicator glows dim the high beam bulbs have no glow. when i switch to high beams the high and low are on but are very dim. the bulbs share the ground. do i need a resistor or a different switch -- billy try reading the voltage directly across the battery and then at the bulb terminals. let us know what you get. al .

coffee wrote so im thinking black leather seats with one of those back massager/heating cushions put inside the seat before it goes back together and the most /absolute most/ soft cushy foam i can find to replace the standard foam that comes from the factory. basically you know those 100000 high end sedans with the ungodly awesome leather seats in them.. i want to make some of those for my truck. i thought about upgrading the front seats in my 96 ram 1500 club cab to something better. the fabric is torn from getting in and out. ive always wanted to look at getting a set of leather power seats heated too from a more recent ram pickup but ive never seen anyone else talking about doing this. this might be a better option than re-covering your existing seats. .

billy im sorry that i dont have time to go out and check my 97s lights for grounding location but barring any problem upstream unlikely since they worked just fine before right ive traced backfeed problems to a bad ground 90% of the time...try a jumper from batt neg. to ground point if you dont have a multimeter. let us know... jon krenelka@bowie-cass-ssac.com wrote i bought projector headlights and installed them tonight. the low beams are working but i am getting a back feed on the high beams. let me explain the low beams are bright but the high beam indicator glows dim the high beam bulbs have no glow. when i switch to high beams the high and low are on but are very dim. the bulbs share the ground. do i need a resistor or a different switch -- billy 1995 ram 2500 4x4 cummins .

i have a 2000 ctd 4x4 2500 and have asked for help on more than once or twice. you guys have been very helpful. i started to notice that when i take off from a complete stop i feel a swift jerk. i feels as if the truck is not completly in gear and when i take off it jerks into gear okay - couple of things. if youre stopped brake applied transmission in drive and you let off the brake will the truck move or do you have to give it some throttle to get it to move is this when the jerk occurs can you avoid the jerking if you very slowly apply throttle sometimes it is a soft jerk and sometimes it can be kinda harsh. when the truck is cold say like in the morning it does not do it. only after the truck warms up a bit. im thinking youve got an internal leak in the transmission causing a lack of line pressure and a bit of clutch slippage. as you apply throttle youre also operating the throttle valve which is raising line pressure causing the clutches to grab. it would be the equivalent of you taching the engine up to 2000rpm in neutral then dropping it into drive. the torque converter will still take up most of the drivetrain shock but youre still going to feel the truck lurch. no play it the drive shaft. i have seen posts about adjusting the bands in the tranny. could that be the problem and if so how hard and expensive is that doubtful as neither the front nor rear band come into play on initial acceleration. youre in first gear so the front band isnt applied only applied in 2nd gear. and unless youre in manual 1 the rear band isnt applied either. one last question-- what is crd i know ctd but not crd common rail diesel - refers to the engine in the jeep liberty .
