Q: k heading into the dealership on monday. driving a 2000 dak 6v 2wd 3.9 not even 70k on it and just passed the warranty period by a cpl months. in the past i had mentiond the problem of the slippage and was dismissed the classic thats normal maybe you need a tune up kinda thing even tho i mentioned it a few times in the past during each of my visits. so recently the engine light pops on take to a friend and he hits it on the diag machine and tells me its a **p1757 governor zero malfunction or temp malfunction.** so the dealership books me book an appointment 2 weeks away obviously not a huge problem and the service manager mentions they have to take trany apart to see if its the torque converter etc etc.. lookin at maybe 5-600 but you never know. so my questions are these; and any help soon would be greatly appreciated because i just had a baby and a 1300$ bill would cripple me right now. do i have any recourse for help from dealership because i mentiond this multiple times and months after warranty ends im up for huge overhaul and if im not coverd whats my best bet tell them to take their overhaul and shove it instead just get them to change the trans temp sensor the throttle position sensor adjust the kick down cable and flush/gasket change whats that cost roughly anyone have an idea feel free to email or post here any help and thanks in advance.. rc .

if you have the complaint clearly written on the service order more than once and they said it was normal or could not duplicate then you have a case to pursue for them to pay for the repairs under the terms of you extended warranty. david k heading into the dealership on monday. driving a 2000 dak 6v 2wd 3.9 not even 70k on it and just passed the warranty period by a cpl months. in the past i had mentiond the problem of the slippage and was dismissed the classic thats normal maybe you need a tune up kinda thing even tho i mentioned it a few times in the past during each of my visits. so recently the engine light pops on take to a friend and he hits it on the diag machine and tells me its a **p1757 governor zero malfunction or temp malfunction.** so the dealership books me book an appointment 2 weeks away obviously not a huge problem and the service manager mentions they have to take trany apart to see if its the torque converter etc etc.. lookin at maybe 5-600 but you never know. so my questions are these; and any help soon would be greatly appreciated because i just had a baby and a 1300$ bill would cripple me right now. do i have any recourse for help from dealership because i mentiond this multiple times and months after warranty ends im up for huge overhaul and if im not coverd whats my best bet tell them to take their overhaul and shove it instead just get them to change the trans temp sensor the throttle position sensor adjust the kick down cable and flush/gasket change whats that cost roughly anyone have an idea feel free to email or post here any help and thanks in advance.. rc .
