Q: my wifes blazer was prowled last night and while they didnt take anything they obviously looked for something to take. what little that was in the car was tossed around inside. and they tried to jimmy her the club that was on the steering wheel but only resulted in freezing it so we had talk about freeze.it must have been an amature. those clubs be easily removed in ways. one is using refrigerant and spraying in the lock whch will make it brittle enough to break or cut the steering wheel its made of flimsy aluminum for safety. to call a locksmith to drill it out. this is the 4th prowl in the last couple years - the first two times they broke windows to get in. when i asked the window guy why arent windows harder to break he said safety you might want to get out!. so i guess she needs a new car. what type of car/truck is prowled the least can i get it with bullet proof windows that cant be smashed no glass if bullet proof. bullet resistant windows are very expensive and you would no longer be able to open the windows anymore. you have to take the vehicle to a shop that does it to get it done. 3m makes a 8 mil that is 5-10 times thicker than a garbage bag window film you can put on your windows. a brick or crow bar to the windows would still break but the glass would and window would remain in place . you can find more info on their web site. .
