intermittant wiper problem

sounds like a carboned up oil pick up screen. what does your oil pressure gauge look like i easily fixed mine with the same symptoms. tapping noise from my 5.9lariet when i accelerate. oil level is good....any ideas thanks exhaust leak could be a leaky manifold gasket or the ball/socket joint at the end of the manifold. valvetrain noise could be a stuck lifter loose rocker etc. could be a bunch of other things but those are a couple of common causes. a mechanics stethescope could help you pinpoint the noise if you can replicate it while stationary. btw - what the heck is a 5.9lariet .

i had a similar problem with an 02 ram whereas the wipers intermittently stoped working and also clicked when i tuned the switch on. took it to an local garage that i trusted as well as to the dealership. both places confirmed a bad motor. becasue it happened right after the warranty expired i was able to get the dealer to reduce parts & labor cost by 50%. david... .

make sure that there isnt any ice in the cowl jamming the wiper linkage. ok. now how do you get under the cowl mjp .
