Q: 1999 ram 1500 had immediate loss of automatic transmission after severe pinging noise in the engine. it would only go 10 mph at high rpm. cany ideas thanks for any info. russ .

total loss of input from one of the sensors going to the computer preventing any kind of up shift in the tranny. step #1 for fixing a problem like that have the computer codes and tranny computer codes read. 1999 ram 1500 had immediate loss of automatic transmission after severe pinging noise in the engine. it would only go 10 mph at high rpm. cany ideas thanks for any info. russ .

hog driver cnaonsdpraemymcihnigk@comcast.netwrites they only come on after the truck has initially started moving after engine start and stay on until i shut the truck off. sound like its time to replace the rear wheel speed sensor. aw .
