From : roymr burns

Q: hello we recently bought brand new dodge ram 05. we used it tow our travel trailer during the summer and now it will be parked for the next 8 or 9 months. we live near the sea so the air is constantly humid and their is a significant amount of airborne salt mist. the truck is parked in a garage but the garage to big windows that have nothing but metal bars on the so that the outside air circulates freely through the garage. so my question is what should i do to ensure that our dodge ram ctd remains in top notch condition and is not harmed by the 8 to 9 months of being parked in a humid and saline environment 1. how often should i start-it up 2. when i start-up should i run it n the highway for a some time 3. is there anything i need to do to the fuel like put a stabilizer in it 4. what about the engine oildo need to change it before we embark on our annual summer trip 5. should i disconnet the batteties thanks in advance for your input. .

tbone wrote and you also got your definitions wrong again as the arbritary limit determins who is rich and how they get the money and what they do with it determins greed. lol you cant keep a straight line of thought on this! youve already said its all about money. you backing off that now can someone earn millions and not be greedy i dont believe that anyone can seriously earn millions but they can win it or make it by wise investing with significant risk or possibly inherit it. the sad and funny thing is that the only one that can actually earn that much are actors and sports players and thats only because the american public is both dumb and bored enought to pay it. temper temper miles. i know that the truth hurts. you do know that at any point in time that there is a finite amount of wealth in the world and every dime taken by one person prevents everyone else form getting it bull tbone. you have no comprehension of basic economics. if your bs were true then there would be no more wealth today than 100 years ago. nobody new can be wealthy unless someone who currently is becomes far less wealthy or alot more poor people lol thats some funny stuff right there! perhaps you should learn how to read miles. i said that at any point in time and that is the truth. if wealth were infinite as you seem to think it would have no value and everyone would or could be rich. now who is the one who has no comprehension of basic economics!! as for your second statement that is exactly correct and is reflected by todays economy. the numbers provided show this magic growth and yet the local papers still are showing layoffs and salaries lower than they used to be for a great number of workers. while the economy is in fact getting better it is getting better far faster for the select few at the cost of the rest of us. perhaps you think that this is funny but many of us dont. those that need it and are willing to and are working for it. this is the way of the world and when one person takes hundreds or even thousands of times more money than they need for no other reason than to say that they are successful in reality they are nothing but greedy selfish ignorant and prideful much like yourself. the wealthiest people are also the most generous when it comes to charity in terms of $ support and voluntary time. i know you believe otherwise...everyone with money is greedy and should be punished with high taxes. who said that i believe otherwise they are what they are because they can afford to be and the tax write-off doesnt hurt either. but the real issue is how much of their net worth or income do they give a billionaire giving a few thousand to charity is pretty much like me leaving my change from mc donalds in the ronald house tray. while it all helps i hardly deserve a reward for being generous and neither does the billionaire for donating .01% of their net income each year. you really are funny with this crap about taxes being a punishment. they are a required cost to support the infrastructure of the society that allows its people to become wealthy and the ones who benefit the most from it should be the ones that pay the most to support it. thats the problem with people like you miles you want all of the benefits without paying for them iow greedy. do your employees that helped you build this business get this same opportunity i doubt it. yes they have the same opportunity to build their own company with their own money. same as me. lol just as i thought. with the exceptional salary you pay yourself you should be investing some of that in the market hmm...so invest in the market eh you mean buy stock ownership in another company so thats ok but making a return on an investment in my own company is greedy. it just keeps getting funnier every day! putting all of your eggs in one basket is idiotic but i think that you are more motivated by greed than intelligence. why risk money in the market when yopu can just taker it from your employees. do you have a 401k setup or are you just packing your money in the bank with the knowlege that you should be able to continue collecting your full salary until the day you die. like many things miles there is making a return on investment and then there is just being greedy and you are very much the latter. no that sounds more like trying to ease you guilt but we both know better than that. rofl...so if wealthy people dont give $s and time to others theyre greedy. if they do give and volunteer time theyre just doing so because they feel guilty. only proper way is to pay higher taxes huh you really must be getting dizzy with this level of spin. i think thart the really wealthy should do both. these bogus tax cuts raise the cost of living for everybody including the ones that were barely getting by and now are now also part of th

actually i found the page in the haynes manual that lists the torque and it does say 185 ft-lbs thanks for the info. tbone tbonenospam@nc.rr.com wrote in you have tightened the hub nut to 175-190 ft-lbs on a 2 wheel drive 3 times and drove it that way for 50000 at least two of those times do you change your front tires every 500 feet as well does anybody have a manual that can check that setting i dont understand why you have a problem with this. my haynes and clymer manual both list this as a torque value i suppose the fsm is the difinitive source but again both books couldnt be that off could they if you want i can scan that page and post it here. the whole bearing assembly spins freely with 1 finger. you gotta be confusing inch pounds with foot pounds. .

you gotta be confusing inch pounds with foot pounds. well heres the torque wrench i use ... http//www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do bvusebvcookie=yes&vertical=tool&pid=00944642000 i am not confusing inch pounds with foot pounds. this 1 3/8 nut holds the entire hub assembly to the steering knuckle i think thats the name of it . remember on the dakota the wheel bearings are sealed in the hub assembly. the wheel attaches to the hub assembly as the wheel studs are built into it. .

you have tightened the hub nut to 175-190 ft-lbs on a 2 wheel drive 3 times and drove it that way for 50000 at least two of those times do you change your front tires every 500 feet as well -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving on a 2wd good luck getting the wheel to turn afterwards actually ive done this 3 times without any problem as i replace my wheel bearings every 50000 miles. i wonder why you say good luck getting the wheel to move. not only do i not have a problem it spins freely with 1 finger! do you have a manual for reference if you do what does it say to use i would find it hard to believe my manual is that much differnt than yours.never had a problem except for the dealer charging $13 for the hub nut. slickwilly. .

how about the people who drive while exhausted ever been driving and fighting to stay awake we all know about the dangers of driving and falling asleep... heck in my state its even illegal to do so dont ask me how this is enforced - its a relatively new experiment in socialization. the law was not meant to be enforceable as in stopping it from happening. its purpose is to make people accountable for their actions sadly after the fact. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .
