Q: my 03 durango idle fluctuates when the outside temp is right. ive had it in and have been told it is idle undershoot and chrysler hasnt provided a flash for it yet. they have a flash for the ram trucks with this problem. kjac9395@nospamhotmail.com wrote have a 2003 ram ext cab with 4.7l engine. on cold mornings ill notice a surging when i first start up. doesnt last more than a minute or two but that coupled with about 15 mpg combined makes me wonder if i should take it in for warranty check. or is this normal gary i have a 2003 dodge dakota quad cab with the 4.7 and mine does the same thing. not all the time but usually when im just creeping up to a stop sign i can feel it surge. i know this isnt an answer but yours isnt the only one doing it .
