Q: 1 when cold the truck wont go. it will start out and once you start to gain speed its like it stops responding to throttle. it will maintain about 25-30mph or so and wont go beyond that no matter how far you push the pedal. switching the truck off and cranking again seems to solve the problem but i want to fix this. is this a common or known issue sounds like it could be an apps problem. on older mechanical trucks the throttle cable ran right to the injector pump. on the 24v engines it goes to a fancy potentiometer that just tells the ecm where you put the throttle pedal. this is located on the front of the engine drivers side underneath a plastic cover. youll see the throttle and cruise control cables running into the back of this. take the cover off and inspect the assembly and electrical connection. these can get corroded from water spraying up from underneath and cause erratic readings. 2 rattles....something under the dash rattles/squeeks at low speed. i havent been able to narrow it down yet anyone have anything similar yeah... probably something loose sorry... could be anything 3 there is some type of security card that must be plugged in for the truck to run. any way to remove this system sounds like either an aftermarket alarm system or maybe the chrysler evs-ii which is just a chrysler-branded aftermarket alarm system ... sure it can be removed - but you have to know which wires to cut/connectors to unplug. im also wondering if the 01 cummins also had the 100000 mile warranty like my 04.5 if so i want to get it in the shop before the warranty expires. yep... 5 year 100000 mile warranty. that would cover your no power when first started problem... let them mess with it. .

1 when cold the truck wont go. left my truck at the dealership yesterday to get this checked out. they replaced the lift pump and are replacing the injection pump under warranty! - it hasnt gone out completely but the mechanic said failure is imminent and he got the approval to replace it. injection pump comes in friday. .

i listened with interest to the debate on letting the drugs come in from canada. i am quite positive that the us drug companies are behind the delay or stopping this action. but if the ban stayed in effect and these companies could be convinced to reduces they prices somewhat and supply a quality product - it would keep the income taxable and jobs in the us. i believe we can be a profiable country keep the jobs here and keep the revenue here. and saves the medicare program which i work with on a daily basis money! -- dudlee brennfoerder edgar ne 68935 here is something to think about. when i lived in southern ca we used to go into mexico a few times a year. when my first wife was stationed at larrys base there in sierra vista az i went across the border a few times too into a small town called nogales. the main things i would find myself spending money on were gas smokes and the sometimes tylenol. a package of marlboros with made in usa and richmond va on the pack cost about 50 cents...this was a few years back when the costin ca was about 1.80 a pack..before the ca $1 per pack tax went on them. a bottle of tylenol 50 count was about 30 cents. granted the dollar has much more pull in mexico but still made in usa hencho en usa was on the bottle. the problem the smokes tasted like cow shit and smelled like it too and it took 4 to 5 caps of the same tylenol to kill a general headache that one or two would here. the fuel....i dont know since i only bought from places that were larger and not the mom and pops style places that abound there. r12 freon could be had for under $10 a 30lb jug...altho it was and is illegal to bring it backjust as its illegal to bring back cartons of cigs from over there. canadian drugs i dont know about other than a few reports that have been on the standard media outlets...dateline and such. they claim what i already suspected..the quality of those drugs are not the same. granted being that the media controls to a degree what we think and see its possible that the drug companies have paid off or suggested strongly that such reports go out and be the norm however i have yet to see much in the way of quality from across the borders on the same items we use and take for granted. even the r12 i talk about above....when you read the quality report on the jug the min moisture content was above that of the us products..and that is something that you dont want in your ac system. personally...all that above pales when you consider this...thanks to a democratic presidents decision semi tractor trailers from mexico can cross the border unfettered. they can crosss over without the same checks and such that the us vehicles have to have. who really gives a damn about a bottle of tylenol when you could have a semi bringing over something that a tylenol wont fix .
