if its an 05 in the owners manual it will tell you the procedure to disable the belt minder your seatbelt reminder light will still work but no bell i dont remember it exactly but its turn the key switch to a certain position buckle and unbuckle so many times within 5 secs i believe and then cycle the key. check your owners manual to be sure. i just repositioned the center belt end and keep it connected when im not actually wearing the belt. it sits right there next to the female end just in case i happen upon a law enforcement official. -- laszlo almasi carolina watercraft works inc. in the battle between money and love money will always triumph i may have to change my signature......on second thought i was right the first time. re5 ram i drive 8 blocks to work i am the only vehicle out in this town at the time i always wear my seat belt except this 20 mph drive to work. any ideas on how to quiet or stop the irritating dinger without a seatbelt end .

my wife has a 1996 dodge b3500 van. i need to replace the front rotors. the guy at autozone wants to know if it has 4 wheel anti lock brakes or rear wheel only. how can i tell the owners manual is of no help. does your dash have an anti-lock lamp that comes on and goes off when you start it. just take the vin to the $tealer they can let you know. -- coasty remove the spooge to reply .

.. .. diagnosing and servicing hydraulic clutch addresshttp//www.babcox.com/editorial/bf/bf70238.htm though not a complete resource for proof or theory......it still manages to negate almost every single statement that budd made in this thread about how he thinks the system works. ; marshmonster will gladly go back to his files for other resources .

yes. there is no box under the battery tray to plug the wiring into as there was on the truck i took it from. are you sure that you do not have rear wheel abs -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving 95 b3500 w/318 and od trans. replaced the wiring harness last spring from a donor vehicle that had abs. since mine doesnt have anti-lock the abs and brake lights are on all the time now. is there anyway that i can defeat this short of pulling the bulbs from the dash i would like to maintain the brake warning light if i can. i guess im hoping i can jumper a couple of contacts or something similar... any thoughts greatly appreciated. thanks matt .

can anyone tell me what the purpose of this tiny insignificant jack is supposed to be i finally took it out from underneath the passenger-side seat and couldnt believe what i saw! i almost laughed my head off at dodge for even thinking of placing such a useless piece of hardware in such a truck. m2cw hawkeye65 ive used mine on one occasion and it worked as intended thank you very much! your point is mike .

if the hydraulic system had a spring like budd said there would be no way to control free play. it would just return the slave all the way in. al uh al they make adjustable pushrods dont they besides one advantage to a hydraulic setup is the ease or lack of need for adjustment. with a hydraulic setup everything can be slammed together at the factory bled with a pressurized filler and sent down the line. -- budd cochran with a hydraulic lifter i assume thats what youre talking about you want a light pressure on the valve to keep the lash to zero. we are talking about a throw out bearing rotating when the engine is running. its not the same. we were taught not to have pressure on the bearing all the time. hence the free play adjustment. thats what were discussing. apparently the engineers decided to reduce the cost of the clutch linkage they would just sacrifice the throw out bearing. another example of this fine engineering is the new dodge truck 4x4 front axles with no disconnect. what the hell it dont cost them money to drive the axle all the time it saves it. we however get to pay for it every day. just like in the old days when full time 4 wheel drive came and went. by the way that was another chrysler design. al .
