you guys are complicating the issue if the motor is lacking power the accelerator pedal will have to be depressed further to get the expected performance; this will result in the throttle valve cable being extended farther than normal for a given road speed and this results in delayed upshifts. precisely john but... the op doesnt mention any engine problems. pardon me for stating the obvious but the op might have an engine problem and not know it; not all engine problems manifest themselves as misfiring. etc. .

has anyone had this problem with there 1996 dodge 1500 p/u. when going to start truck i get a click sound like the battery is low. i had the battery and alternator checked out all is fine with them. .

on thu 17 aug 2006 214028 +0930 jmc nogroupsspam@nojodibody.homeus wrote 2001 dodge dakota... recently i had a standard flush done on my trucks ac system. now when the acs off even if its not particularly warm out and the trucks not warm and the dials all the way over to as cold as it can if i turn the fans on well get warm/heated air out of the vents. this didnt happen before it went into the shop. other work was done at the same time but afaik it wouldnt have affected the ac/heat tie rods ball joints. is it possible they screwed something up what these are daimler chrysler folk more used to jeeps as theyre australian and dakotas arent made here. i like the shop and dont want to go in with this unless theres a real possibility theyve made a mistake. why did you even have it flushed first thing to do is to have the charge level checked and see if compressor is cycling properly. a a/c is pretty generic in function so they do not have to be model trained here only a/c trained. ----------------- thesnoman.com .
