glad to see you got it figured out! carl snip. ok thank you all i got her goin again. i didnt cut the hole in the floor aftrer thinking about it. i dropped the tank down enough to work on it without disconecting the filler tube and vent like i did last time. i put some electrical tape on the tip of a big screw driver and pounded the ring off the pump. no fair sparking and pulled the old pump out. the little woman had stopped at pep boys for a pump. it was the right one but it had the wrong connector. they wanted another 40 dollars for the adapter. we called another place bumper to bumper found one for less money with the adapter. while she was out getting the check back at pep boys she missed the next bad storm. it just hasnt been a real good week here in kentuckiana. she got the pump from b to b $130 cheap with 12 mo warr.. and it came with an adapter that ran all the way back to where it fits the square four plug connector under the drivers door. i put it in buttoned up the tank and hoses filled her up with gas.the filter was already new. she runs better than she has in years. the power is back. i didnt realize that a weak pump could do that. like i said before i thought they just died. im not going to assume anything anymore. thanks again for the info and the well wishes. with a little luck i can get my yard picked up and get back over and hang those doors in that fellas hallway and make some money. dave bollinger louisville ky .
