im looking at purchasing a used 2002 dakota but have a question about the models. ive found a 4dr slt 4x4 with 70000kms for $24995.00 canadian. it has the 4.7l v8. i also found a sport 4dr with 67000kms for $22995.00 canadian. it has the 3.9l v6 wich would be better on gas i would think. which was the better model the slt or the sport as someone else said go for the v-8. the v-6 is very underpowered. .

if people wouldnt buy it then it wouldnt be built. folks have to have dome lights that fade to off instead of just shutting off. folks have to have climate control instead of a cable operated heat lever. how about the speed sensitive delay wipers dont blame the car manufacturer for this crap blame the people that buy it. and im as guilty as the next. i dont think i could survive without the power sliding doors and tailgate on the t&c. g i wish i could disable the dome light timer after opening the door of my 99 ram. i hate the fact that the dome light stays on for a long time or until i turn the key to run after entering the truck. when i get in the truck after dark at a strange location i get nervous when i cant see out because of the damn glare caused by the dome light. i think id prefer to find the ignition switch with my key in the dark. i know if i cant i could crack the door open to make the dome light come on again. .

thanks maxpower but i dont see any fault codes. what is the bcm anyway thanks mike hello i have an 01 dodge caravan 3.3l and lately once and awhile driving the wipers come on all by themselves and now i seen them come on from the house while it was sitting in the driveway parked with no key! it is very cold out here and wondering if that might have something to do with it does anyone know what this could be its very weird. im afraid i will have a drained battery and worn down wipers in the morning. thanks mike the biggest problem was the mulifunction switch on this vehicle. you may want to take the car in and have the dealer check for any fault codes especially in the bcm im sorry bcm body control module iow yet another useless part that serves no real purpose other than to make the vehicle increasingly more complex and all the more difficult to service outside of the dealership. yup! we design em that way! ;^ mike yep and on purpose too. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving so what is done in this situation does the bcm require replacing mike the symptoms that you are describing makes that sound like a strong possibility. since your vehicle may still be under warranty i would have the dealer take a look at it. i would suspect that this is not an inexpensive part. and where is the bcm located i have no idea where it could be in your vehicle but there are others in here that may. picking up a fsm may be a good idea if you intend to do any work on that vehicle. just looking through it can give you an idea what jobs may be beyond your abilities before you start them and get yourself into trouble. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

make money!!!make money!!! make thousands!!! i found this on a bulletin board and decided to try it i dont care about the useless pre-fabricated crap this message usually says. all i say is it works. continue pre-fab crap. well guess what!!! within seven days i started getting money in the mail!! i was shocked!! i figured it would end soon but the money just kept coming in. in my first week i made about $25.00. by the end of the second week i had made a total of more than $1000.00!! in the third week i had more than $10000.00 and its still growing!! this is now my fourth week and i have made a total of $42000.00 and its still coming rapidly. its certainly worth $6.00 and six stamps and i have spent more than that on the lottery without ever winning!!! let me tell you how this works and most important why it works.......... also make sure you print this out now so you can get the information off of it as you will need it. i promise you that if you follow the directions exactly that you will start making more money than you thought possible by doing something so easy!! suggestion read this entire message carefully!! print it out or download it follow the simple directions and watch the money come in!! its easy. its legal. and your investment is only $6.00 plus postage !!! important this is not a rip-off it is decent; its legal; and it is virtually no risk - it really works!! if all the following instructions are adhered to you will receive extraordinary dividends. please note please follow the directions exactly and $50000 or more can be yours in 20 to 60 days. this program remains successful because of the honesty and integrity of the participants. please continue its success by carefully adhering to the instructions. you will now become apart of the mail order business. you are in the business of developing mailing lists. many large corporations are happy to pay big bucks for quality lists. however the money made from the mailing lists is secondary to income which is made from people like you and me asking to be included in that list. here are the four easy steps to success. step one get six separate pieces of paper and write the following on each piece of paper please put me on your mailing list. now get 6 u.s. $1.00 bills and place one inside of each of the six pieces of paper so the bill will not be seen through the envelope to prevent thievery. next place one paper in each of the six envelopes and seal them. you now should have six sealed envelopes each with a piece of paper stating the above phrase your name and address and a $1.00 bill. what you are doing is creating a service. this is absolutely legal!!!!! you are requesting a legitimate service and you are paying for it!! like most of us i was a little skeptical and little worried about the legal aspects of it all. so i checked it out with the u.s. post office 1-800-238-5355 and they confirmed that it is indeed legal!! mail the six envelopes to the following addresses 1r. ansems gen. foulkesstraat 5 4641 bw ossendrecht netherlands 2b. loblaw 49 gaydon way brantford on canada n3t 6p7 3bp douglas 105 rustywell prk yeovil somerset ba20 2nb uk 4pv martin 32 wyndham view yeovil somerset ba21 5da uk 5elgin freeman 1993 w riverbend cir bullhead cityaz 86442 6thaddeus krutka 200 southwick rd. apt 8 westfield ma 01085 usa step twonow take the #1 name off the list that you see above move the other names up six becomes 5 5 becomes 4 and etc. and add your name as number 6 on the list. step three change anything you need to but try to keep this article as close to original as possible. now post your amended article to at least 200 groups. i think there are close to 24000 groups all you need is 200 but remember the more you post the more money you make!! this is perfectly legal!! if you have any doubts refer to title 18 sec. 1302 & 1341 of the postal lottery laws. keep a copy of these steps for yourself and whenever you need money you can use it again and again. please remember that this program remains successful because of the honesty and integrity of the participants and by their carefully adhering to directions. look at it this way. if you were of integrity the program will continue and the money that so many others have received will come your way. note you may want to retain every name and address sent to you either on a computer or hard copy and keep the notes people send you. this verifies that you are truly providing a service. also it might be a good idea to wrap the $1 bill in dark paper to reduce the risk of mail theft. so as each post is downloaded and the directions carefully followed all members will be reimbursed for their participation as a list developer with one dollar each. your name will move up the list geometrically so that when your name reaches the #1 position you will

thanks denny! after only getting 17-18 mpg on the highway with my ford explorer 24-25 mpg will be nice. im taking it for a test drive tomorrow. don does anybody know what kind of mileage i might expect with a 00 chrysler town & country limited with a 3.8l engine the dealer is saying 18 in the city and 24 on the highway. consumer reports says 17 overall. appreciate any inputs. thanks! don my wifes 02 t&c ex with a 3.8 will get 24-25 mpg on the highway if i keep the speed under 70 mph. when we get to the western states and start driving 80-85 mph itll drop to 20-21 real quick. around town the 17-18 mpg is about right. i bought it new and the mileage has been the same since i got it. denny .

dakota2112 dakota2112@yahoo.com writes im curious... how many miles have people been getting out of their clutches specifically in dakota trucks i have a 97 dakota cc v6 5 speed 2 wheel drive 3.21 gears bought new off the lot. my original clutch has made it to 150000 miles. mostly highway i dont tow often and i usually drive with utmost respect for my clutch disk by minimizing slippage during clutch operation. i have never noticed any change in the clutch pedal and i have never smelled any burning clutch... but i know its only a matter of time before i do. any ideas how many miles these clutches can realistically last if treated reasonably youve apparently babied your dakota far moreso than most would. somewhere i once read that the average life expectancy of the clutch disk is around 80100k miles. of course this varies with conditions and driving habits. when my eldest son started driving we put 3 clutches in his 67 camaro in a period of 3 years. im guessing wed likely have put in a 4th but he totalled it. we were on our 2nd clutch in my wifes 78 vette when we finally sold it in 95 with 62k on the clock. all depends on how its driven. .

suddenly without warning r392 exclaimed 3/5/2005 248 pm ok i will simplify the question. when the ac clutch goes bad does it make any noise. for example does it sound like a valve tap when the accelerator is depressed. doug i have a 1999 2500 4wd v8 and the air has stopped working. pressure in system and i do not here the click of the compressor when its turned on. so ok they clutch is bad no there. the question is do they make noise. sounds like a bad valve tap only when i am driving and accelerate. do they make this noise or should i look else where. thanks doug i understood the part that says i have a 1999 2500 4wd...... but lost me here ........ system and i do not here the click of the compressor when its turned on. so ok they clutch is bad no there. the question is do they make noise. um. dunno the answer to your question but is it your ac or the entire heating system theres a known issue where the blower motor resistor will fail. this often causes just the first couple of settings on the fan control to not work but the highest one will - for a while. sometimes they all fail together. ive replaced two in the last 12 months. if you google this group for blower motor resistor you can see if others symptoms reflect your own... there were no special sounds when mine did this except for the sound of silence which replaced the sounds of blowing air... jmc .
