tbone t-bonenospam@nc.rr.com wrote in most current dc products like to stay in the 14.5v range which i also believe is a little to the high side but that is the way it is. the regulator is part of the pcm so just changing it out is not an option unless you like to spend big $$$$. the problem may be a combination of two things the excessive voltage common among dc products and an excessive current draw when the vehicle is not running. if your meter can read current check to see how much the truck is drawing when not running ignition off and make sure that it is how it is when you leave it. if you are drawing more than 1/2 an amp this is probably your real problem. if you want to see the voltage when driving you can use the cigarette lighter socket as a voltage source and plugs are available from radio shack for a few bucks to connect your meter too. just to follow-up i did remove the caps from my battery this weeked and the left side closest to the front of the truck was a little low. little as in less than 2 baby eye droppers worth accross the 4 cells. i removed the right side cap but it was fine. i topped the left side off with distilled water. i didnt run any further tests on it till i had the truck running for an extended period of time. my commute to work is 36 miles each way so when i get home tonight i will check my voltage as directed by kurt and tbone and report back tomorrow. thanks for the follow-up. -- regards slick willy 73 cb 450 95 xj 600 03 flstf - parted ways in late july 04 flhrci - entering geezerdom at a mere 32 ... remove the bendover to reply .

randyca wrote oil pressure problem here when i start my truck for the day its a 1990 dodge d200 360 engine. the oil pressure by the gage is fine however after a short drive on the highway into the city the oil pressure drops on the gage and the light comes on. this only happens once the engine is fully warmed up. any ideas out there how many miles on the truck first thing to do is remove the oil pressure sender. its way in the back by the distributor. hook a regular mechanical gauge to the port where the sender was and see whats really happening. the oil pressure sender could be the problem. my 92 360 is on its third. the first replacement i bought started leaking after about a year. al .

jarno you are out of luck. the truck was never exported to europe so no e lamps are available. you have to apply for an exemption and pay the increased tax.. i know i had to do the same thing. if you are a resident in germany the method above works. if you are a member of the ec but not germany you can import the truck to germany and then sell it on to any country within the ec and it will be accepted. in fact there is a whole industry built up around this problem. if you need more info contact me directly. steve hi all i have -96 3500 and need tail and headlights for it those should be e-approved. that means same kind of mark on lamps as sae or dot. does anyone know place where i can buy these. jarno .

for 11 years my dealer put quaker state in my 92 and i never had any problems for the 110000 miles i put on it.. traded it for a new one in 03 same engine/driveline as yours. dealer is still using qs and i dont anticipate any problems. of course the heaviest use of either truck was/is pulling a 9000 lb. travel trailer. if i wanted dealer would put in mopar synthetic now that my 03 has 20000 miles on it but i change oil often enough that the dealer doesnt really think that it is necessary. old truck is still in the area pulling someone elses trailer and still going strong. hi i have mentioned this topic before but i need a bit more detail. first i have a 2004 ram 2500 cummins 305/555 auto 4wd etc ... i got 6 years of free oil changes from the dealer. my plan was to use this service until i hit 15000 and then i was going to start changing my own oil with premium blue synthetic cummins suggestion. the oil the dealership uses is mopar 15w-40. im assuming this is probably rotella ... anyone know for sure regardless this is a 10 year truck and i want to use the best fluids in it. is it worth in your opinions using the synthetic rather than letting the dealership change my oil for free let the flaming begin ... thanks craig c. .

contact your local cummins dealer instead of the dodge dealer. they are reasonable priced and stand behind the service on the engine and parts! .

hey tom thank you for your post and your information. thanks also to partsmore for suggesting a cummins shop. tom i checked the link you listed and it certainly is cheaper; i tried an oreillys earlier today after roy suggested that anywhere besides the dealer would be better and found one in stock for around 180.00 before tax right at 200.00 after tax so still saving me almost 100.00 over my dealer-bought pump. i bought it and ill be returing the dealer part but im in enough of a rush to get the truck running that purchasing the one from the site you list while saving me 50 bucks or so isnt going to be feasible. but i did add it to my links list and i will be checking them out for future purchases so thank you very much for that. have you actually bought stuff from them have you ever had to deal with their customer service complaints or kudos thank you again. --hc .

so i guess the bottom line is for a quick pit stop letting it run is actually a good idea. as long as you dont lock yourself out or somebody steals it. if you plan on stretching or napping a little...shut er down. now all i have to do is keep an eye out for the deputy wholl keep us safe by writing up an illegal idling citation. dang...what next i got pulled over two weekends ago doing 58 in a 55 zone by a highway patrolman who says he clocked me doing 70!!! the only way i dodged getting a ticket is he tried to tell me my drivers license expired too...i had to tell him this was still march and my license expires in april. wellll...ill let you go this time. .

on tue 22 mar 2005 071342 -0700 big al nospamsal1@qwest.net wrote ya the roof is toast too. and the tops of the fenders arent far behind. thanks dodge. i have a black 94 ram 2500. about 2 years ago a small spot appeared on the hood where the clear coat was apparently wearing off. it has spread like cancer onto all of the horizontal surfaces of the truck. does anyone know of a recall for this problem or am i out a paint job. the sides of the truck look brand new. thanks for any replies. zoso i had the same problem on my 94 1500. it started with the hood which i had re-painted for $300 and the roof was starting to wear off when i sold it last summer. i dont think there was a recall issued and its doubtful youd get much help 11 years later. ron w. what urks me is my 87 90 and 92 all did this. why the hell didnt they fix a known problem gm ford and lots of the jap cars also do this. al that was the time period when the big three and probably others got some bad primer. the paint didnt stick real well. i went through gms adjudication process with a zone rep and got my 91 corsica repainted in 95. my father had his 92 dodge ram repainted at no cost in 97 for the same problem. a co-worker had her 91 ram done at about the same time. but i think ron is right - 11 years is probably stretching it for any support from the manufacturers. greg .
