dodge durango starting question

Q: has anyone had or heard of starting problems it is a 98 with 70000 miles bought new i have had no problems until recently some days it starts fine other days it will just click then after a few times of trying it will turn over and start . it turns over fine the battery terminals are clean i am wondering if it is solinoid or someone said something about the ignition switch i need some input before i spend $180.00 on a starter thanks .
