From : freakydaddyo donttryit home

Q: i have a 95 diesel 2500 standard cab p/u with 165000 miles. i have a standard trans. how many miles can i expect to get before replacing the clutch i dont tow anything im it easy on the clutch and it is all mostly highway miles. everything still feels fine with the clutch but im kinda scared to take those long trips 700miles plus. i would rather it go out in my backyard instead of 700 miles away. thanks .

freaky a clutch is a wear item and it really depends on your left foot for the rate of wear. if its not slipping or chattering i wouldnt worry about it. a clutch usually will give you some warning before it goes out. denny i have a 95 diesel 2500 standard cab p/u with 165000 miles. i have a standard trans. how many miles can i expect to get before replacing the clutch i dont tow anything im it easy on the clutch and it is all mostly highway miles. everything still feels fine with the clutch but im kinda scared to take those long trips 700miles plus. i would rather it go out in my backyard instead of 700 miles away. thanks .
