Q: johnny thunder wrote ratabor wrote bought a brand new 2005 dodge dakota 4-door on memorial day had 12 miles on it. last week the truck would not go in reverse with only 5900 miles on it. find out this week that the transmission had been rebuilt with only 9 miles on it! the dealer did not inform me of this as it was driven off the showroom floor. what is my next course of action thanks. 1 800 lemon law its not really a lemon law issue. more like fraud. selling a car as new that has rebuilt parts is fraud and illegal. the lemon law varies in most states and some do not have one at all. most require a problem to occur 3 times in a given time frame and also requires arbitration before the lemon law buyback would apply. .

bonenospam@nc.rr.com says... you can replace them with platinum plugs from just about any vendor without voiding the warranty providing that they are the correct heat range for the engine but why would you want to do that the general opinion in the group is that they do little if anything as far as performance and cost a hell of a lot more. ive never seen where the platinums are really worth it unless maybe you have one of those cars where getting the plugs out of a couple cylinders is such torture that its something you never want to do again. im going to have to do plugs and wires next year on my 2003 hemi ram. ive found several sets of decent spiral core wires for about half what the dealer wants for the crappy stock wires. nice colors too. red for me! http//www.autotrucktoys.com/ram/performance-distributors-livewires- spark-plug-wires-03-up-hemi-p8676c1873.aspx bdk .

yep. which speed sensor did you replace iirc there is one at the transmission and one on top of the rear at least it is that way on the 97. the rwal uses the one on the rear axle. theres an output speed sensor on the transmission but in 99 the speedometer signal comes from the abs computer either 4w or rwal systems which in turn comes from the rwss. the transmission sensor wouldnt affect the speedometer. .

voltage regulator which in that car i believe is part of the logic module which means you have to replace the entire computer. question i have a 1992 dodge shadow america. it has 114200 original miles. the probelm started with the check engine light coming on. then all of gauges battery oil pressure temperature gauge went haywire and the battery indicator guage showed the battery was charging and it was obvious as the lights got dimmer and dimmer and all of the indicator lights came on one by one as i was driving check engine air bag oil light etc.. i took to my mechanic and had a new alternator put on. a rebuilt one. that was a month ago. now it has started again. the gauge shows the battery is constantly charging and the check engine light came on again. any idea what may be causing this what could possibly be the problem -- posted using the http//www.autoforumz.com interface at authors request articles individually checked for conformance to usenet standards topic url http//www.autoforumz.com/dodge-1992-shadow-america-ftopict141154.html visit topic url to contact author reg. reqd. report abuse http//www.autoforumz.com/eform.phpp=682520 .

driveway next day would not start. it makes the rrrr crank sound but will not start. we replace the fuel pump but still nothing. you dropped the tank and replaced the fuel pump module without knowing if it was actually the problem did you check for spark check for fuel in the fuel rail did you try starting it with a little starter fluid into the throttle body lots of variables here that could cause the engine not to fire... you need to narrow it down a little bit. .

rm wrote does anyone know if the trouble codes detected and stored in the pcm can only be cleared by using the obd-ii scan tool or we can do it by simply disconnecting the system from the battery thanks. - p holds envelope to forehead to divine information as to year and vehicle sorry my pshycic powers are non functional today. if it helps my 99 1500 clears when you pull the battery. thanks for the reply. my ford taurus recently has a trouble code detected. i thought the odb-ii codes and the related processes are quite standardized. pulling the battery will shut off the light. but unless you have repaired the problem that set the code it will come back anyway. if your getting the vehicle inspected soon in an area that checks for codes tell them you had the battery out. ----== posted via feeds.com - unlimited-uncensored-secure usenet ==---- http//www.feeds.com the #1 group service in the world! 120000+ groups ----= east and west-coast server farms - total privacy via encryption =---- .
