i guess i didnt understand what you said. why do you put it in neutral to start the car i start my 04 ram the same way - but i leave it in park until im ready to go. i havent ever tried to shift it out of park when i wasnt actually ready to drive. mike mike in mystic wrote that sounds like a manual transmission to me. this issue only applies to automatics. i have a automatic. ditto for a 94 ram i previously had. as long as the ignition switch was/is in the run position the lever can be moved. jerry .

what is heet heet $2/bottle at wal-mart.... he does not have usenet access and has a chrysler van. any ideas ====================================================================== could you post it in groups as soon as possible. subject water in the gas tank i drove my van into a car wash with tank cap open . the tank was full of gas. it could be that a quort of water got into it. i drained about 3 gallons out of it through the draining tube. no water was detected. it could be the tube does not reach the bottom. the bottom is flat. it may present trouble in the future. the van is fuel injection. how to remove the water . 222 276355 l0dpb.99284$5v2.339691@attbis53 i was wondering if anyone could recommend a good massachusetts installer for upgrading my differential gearing going from 3.55 to 3.92. i seem to be having trouble locating a shop that specializes in drivetrain type of work. thanks erik mass diesel. they do super transmission work would think they do the whole drivetrain. look here www.massdiesel.com roy .

interesting... my 01 ram i dont have to push the brake pedal down. never had to from day 1 bought it new. andy i have the same problem with my 03 ram qc hemi. i find if i dont push the brake down enough the lock wont release. my neighbour has a 2003 cummins h0 automatic. he was telling me that he has trouble getting the trans out of park when the trans is cold. the truck has to run for a few minutes then he can shift it into drive. is he parking on a hill if so tell him do stop set the e-brake then shift to park. upon starting shift to drive release e-brake and go. this is true of any auto trans - you bind up the park pawl pawk otherwise. by the way - he does realize theres a brake interlock solenoid that only lets the trans shift out of park when the brake pedal is depressed .
