cali travel?

Q: tbone wrote since california has the toughest restrictions in the country i would bet that you will run into some trouble if your modifications include a loud obnoxious open exhaust. i was under the impression perhaps false impression that if the vehicle is registered and is current in the state of primary residence that all other states had to allow passage. especially since many of the roads are actually funded by the federal government. texas restrictions are fairly mild. ive been to cali before in my vehicles with no problem. i know you cant purchase any of the vehicles i own in cali without special equipment yet they allowed me to stay there for a few months. why would the exhaust mods be any different unless they were breaking some other ordinance like noise. further how do 18-wheelers handle coming and going freely in and out of cali lord knows many of those rigs are modified. craig c. .

im a dummy... sorry but its the passenger side if that matters. nah doesnt matter. it certainly sounds like a hub bearing to me. you can probably grab the tire and push/pull it in and out - a sure sign the bearing has worn. .

tbone wrote then what choice does he or anyone else have if i dont like the reps that means i must like the dems no what it means is that if they dont tow the line and make good on their promises without damn good reason they are removed and replaced. trouble is the dems offer even less. more right wing spin. spin the dems have nothing to offer. theyre even worse than the reps. take immigration and border security for instance. the reps want amnesty and increased border security. the dems want the reps amnesty plus get rid of the added security. we go from a lousy rep plan to an even worse dem plan. lol it really doesnt matter because none of it will ever be done. because sometimes that is all that is needed. if the problems are being caused by something that the reps are doing being against it means that they are going to stop it and that is all that needs to be done. now thats funny! there are scores of issues we need to deal with in this country and all of them will be solved by simply stopping what the reps are doing but not enact anything in their place good grief. the liberals mentality at its worst. when something bad or simply being done wrong correcting that fixes the problem. while the reps talk the talk they have yet to walk the walk so really miles what is the difference i -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

on jun 8 607 am tbone tbonenos...@nc.rr.com wrote roy wrote no but i dont understand how anybody can support these folks. how can you support the dems i can understand not liking what the reps offer. then what choice does he or anyone else have trouble is the dems offer even less. more right wing spin. they havent offered any solutions to any issue. none. sure they have you just dont want to see it. all i know is what the dems are against not what they are for. because sometimes that is all that is needed. if the problems are being caused by something that the reps are doing being against it means that they are going to stop it and that is all that needs to be done. i have to disagree with this last statement about being against something meaning they are going to stop it. i dont see that as a completely true statement. being against something mean that you dont like it or agree with it but that does not necessarily go hand in hand with stopping it. you misunderstood what i said. i purposly left this open ended because it is not always the action that would be stopped but sometimes the way the action is being done. it could be that they are against it only because of the way it ias being handled and will change things to fit their needs/political views but leaving the same basic thing in place. i agree and the war is an excellent example. while im sure that many are against this invalid war itself most intelligent americans realize that we cannot simply end it even though that might be what they want to do. instead it has to be handled differently and some sort of time table needs to be put in place otherwise the new government over there can ride on out coat tails forever. the only ones that can truly change and stop anything is the american public and that would be accomplished by not voting in all the de de des that keep getting in. i think that its time america wake up get out of the political part mind set and vote for the best over all person party loyalties be damned. but this is just my two cents. i agree and have said this many times. if the people in place are not doing the job they need to be replaced but those that follow the party lines on both sides will never allow that to happen. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

as i said a noisy exhaust will draw attention and he would probably be harassed due to that and cited for noise infractions. if it was still reasonably quiet i doubt that they would do anything or even bother to look since the vehicle is an out of state vehicle. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving tbone wrote since california has the toughest restrictions in the country i would bet that you will run into some trouble if your modifications include a loud obnoxious open exhaust. i was under the impression perhaps false impression that if the vehicle is registered and is current in the state of primary residence that all other states had to allow passage. especially since many of the roads are actually funded by the federal government. texas restrictions are fairly mild. ive been to cali before in my vehicles with no problem. i know you cant purchase any of the vehicles i own in cali without special equipment yet they allowed me to stay there for a few months. why would the exhaust mods be any different unless they were breaking some other ordinance like noise. further how do 18-wheelers handle coming and going freely in and out of cali lord knows many of those rigs are modified. craig c. .
