Q: all my 1993 grand voyager 172k miles entire brake system replace two years ago - accumulator cylinders pads rotors has ocasionally been flashing the brake warning idiot lights both abs and brake/parking brake if i hit the brakes with any force. it started out happening only rarely and has gradually gotten more frequent and at lower speeds. it originally only happened on the highway. the brakes both feel and behave normally. im trying very very hard not to spend any more money on this beast it having been totalled by the insurance company in march and a new truck coming in december. any thoughts on whats actually wrong with the thing thanks paul .

try bleeding the brake system it should re-center the warning light switch. all my 1993 grand voyager 172k miles entire brake system replace two years ago - accumulator cylinders pads rotors has ocasionally been flashing the brake warning idiot lights both abs and brake/parking brake if i hit the brakes with any force. it started out happening only rarely and has gradually gotten more frequent and at lower speeds. it originally only happened on the highway. the brakes both feel and behave normally. im trying very very hard not to spend any more money on this beast it having been totalled by the insurance company in march and a new truck coming in december. any thoughts on whats actually wrong with the thing thanks paul --- outgoing mail is certified virus free. checked by avg anti-virus system http//www.grisoft.com. version 6.0.522 / virus database 320 - release date 9/29/2003 .

my guess is u have a bendix brake system. and when u hit the brakes hard the is a pressre drop. making the lite to come on which could be many things bt most likey a weak motor or leaking piston .
