bearing? Speed sensor?

Q: 99 ram qq 360/auto... getting a rotation noise that we thought was front tire noise... also about the same time the shift from 2nd to 3rd is delayed quite a bit... at normal city driving maybe at 35 instead of about 20 - 25 i was thinking that the speed sensor might be causing the tranny shift.. everything else is fine shifts good otherwise pulls well etc.. i had a friend drive it this morning realized that the noise is from the left-rear wheel... maybe wheel bearing taking it in to the dealer monday morning but thought id get a few opinions here while im waiting for monday.. have a safe and happy 4th!! mac mac .
