if itll make ya feel any better ill send you a pic of roy in a pink bunny suit sitting on a heated leather seat...... denny okay guys. so you know i got that new nissan titan king cab right well wouldnt you know it im having transmission problems!!! i cant believe it.... its only got 500 miles on the dang thing! it started yesterday. at first it seemed like it was not shifting at the optimum rpms. i thought hum thats funny i might need to get that checked out then the next thing you know from a stop i put on the gas it gets to about 3000-4000 rpms then slams into gear wtf. one of the main reasons that i even considered other makes of vehicles was the tranny problems with the rams. damned if you do damned if you dont. i have to call the dealership tomorrow because you know damn straight that this is defiantly covered under warranty! im hoping it might be a loose vacuum hose the shift throttle or just a quick fix thing.... any ideas just to appease my mind til i take it to the dealership gloomy and miserable michele .

hi had a local shop install the plow bracket on my 2500q and while they had the truck let them wire it for the lights and control. inquired as to there qualifications as to inside work for the wiring. told me the name of several dealers that they do retro for. this shop is listed on the meyer site as a meyer dealer. i picked up my truck on this past fri. pm. the frame mount was great or so it appears. this is what i found with the wiring. light modules mounted vertically with the plug/connectors facing fwd the pump solenoid mounted in front of condenser w/ crimped connectors attached loom wiring flopping behind the grill for each connection right headlamp not functioning module fuse blew the bottom mounting bolt for each headlight assembly not installed positve battery terminal loose control harness routed between battery and engine w/o any fastening of any type plow/truck light switch mounted at bottom of dash/kick panel between steering wheel column and emergency brake so that my 13ds would pass by not very easily and the controller laying on the seat with the mounting bracket attached to the controller. a new wiring harness was used for the pump controller which was not needed this included the solenoid mounted behind the grill in front of condensing unit. yesterday i removed the wiring done by them and did it properly. i didnt want to spend the time doing the wiring is why i requested they do that while the truck was in there shop. does anybody have a meyer classic set-up installed where were the components mounted this plow was mounted on my 95 98 01 and 04 2500 quad 95 not quad. i mounted the light switch on the right side of the steering wheel and the plow control on the left side. kevin .

i can see 4 concentric holes in the face of the pulley but i really dont see any way to lock into them to spin the 39mm nut without both mechanisms interfearing. i usually leave the serpentine belt on put a big wrench on the fan nut and strike the wrench with a mallet. the friction of the belt combined with the sudden impact on the wrench usually breaks the nut loose. conversely i re-install the fan first holding the fan stationary and turning the pulley to thread the spindle into the fan clutch then re-install the serpentine belt and whack the nut once clockwise to tighten it. absent the special tool to hold the hub toms method works just fine. if you find that the hub still turns instead of the nut you can create extra belt tension by depressing the belt between the pulleys. mike .

you can either replace the computer or modify the electrical system and hang an external regulator on it and bypass the existing one. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving my 1992 dodge dakota alternator is charging 14.5 volts all the time and has ruined two batteries all wiring seems to be ok any help would be appreciated .

then either replace the computer or put in a separate regulator. both are viable options. before you do either i would check all the wiring for bad connections and bad grounds. the computer regulator senses the voltage through a lot of wire a bad connection in the circuit will cause it to raise the voltage to compensate for what it thinks is low voltage. i would also have the current alternator tested to make sure it isnt putting out any high frequency spikes through a bad diode. that could also cause the voltage reading in the computer to act strange. then go from there. one bad ground connection could cause it as well. that includes a bad battery cable connector also. -- steve williams steve i have installed a new alternator and still have the same problemthe alternator does not have a built in voltage regulator it is regulated in the engine computer. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------- william and mary ----== posted via feeds.com - unlimited-uncensored-secure usenet ==---- http//www.feeds.com the #1 group service in the world! 120000+ groups ----= east and west-coast server farms - total privacy via encryption =---- .

my 90 dakota 3.9 aod has a hesitation just off-idle. does it when first started but it goes away for a period when its just starting to warm up; then by the time its up around normal operating temp it is doing it again and stays that way. i thought perhaps by that discription someone wouldve had a similar experience possibly rather common. ign parts in good shape no codes. i dont want to just start hanging parts. .

on wed 16 feb 2005 185824 -0500 roy roy@home.net wrote they seemed pretty beefy to me. i took mine off to get the plow frame on. roy i agree the tow hooks that i got with my 04 2500 are sturdy. they install above the bumper so there is no air dam cut-out issue. when my plow frame was installed the fisher dealer removed the tow hooks as the plow frame was not designed to work with the tow hook brackets bad fisher design. with some bracket modification i got the tow hooks reinstalled. the only issue that i see with the above bumper location is that using a chain might mar the bumper. so i got a heavy duty tow strap. woody; 95fxds .

so for safety sake weight has to be added but... but... but... you dont need to add weight in the back to a 4x4 ^ i know i know. never have had to before with a 4x4 but with the plow raised the rear wheels respond like they are barely making contact with the ground. now with snow on the ground traction becomes a joke. maybe its the weight of the qc that is making the difference maybe it is the 610 i dont know. i didnt have anywhere near the problem with the 2k standard cab plow weight was about the same i dont think the cummins jumped a whole lot in weight. who knows. roy .
