maybe they all traded in their dodges for fords maybe the old farts got moved into nursing homes where they dont allow you to use computers most of the guys are still around missing are bud rednecksean havent heard from the guy. then the gals we are missing dodge ewe and sofia. dale so@somackboynet.org wrote what happen to this dodge truck group i been gone a few months and i see none or dont see any of the old timers jump right in answering questions. used to be a guy could post a question and three or four of the old farts would jump in giving advice sometimes slightly disagreeing but always quick to help. now i see questions going unanswered. too bad this *was* a good group at one time. yeah i know dont let the door hit me in the ass. dont worry i wont. but for anyone else that would care to give me a civil answer i would appreciate it. thanks. what happen to the good ole boys mack boy .

i had mine replaced also this past january but now im hearing some weird rattling going on in that general area. my mechanic adjusted some dust shields in the front wheel areas that they thought might be causing the problem. however the next day it came back so i called them up and they in turn called my dealer who said i should bring it up to them. someone at the dealer told my mechanic that several other people had brought their vehicles in with similar symptoms. my 02 dakota had the lower ball joints replaced at 38000 i also had the top ones replaced per the recall. check the lower shock mount. dont really know if the title of this post is relevant to my problem but here goes. i have an 02 durango and had the ball joints repaired as per the recall back in january of this year. just this past week i started hearing what sounded like a rattle sort of metalic sounding whenever i would hit a bump in the road. it was coming from the drivers side and as far as i could tell was in the front. anyway on monday i took it to my local mechanic and they checked it over. they adjusted some dust shields and wheel well shields in the front of my car. they said they werent on right and were probably causing the rattling. yesterday i started hearing it again and today went back to my mechanic and they told me i should bring it over to my dealer as they were told by the person at the dealer that several people brought their autos back with similar symptoms as mine which were possibly related to the ball joints. has anyone heard of problems resulting from the work on ball joints on their autos i have an appointment next thursday to bring my car in and hopefully will find out then. .

is all this possible sure... you just need a belt for your engine without a/c. you can leave the a/c compressor in place - the belt will just route underneath it you should have a diagram showing the routing without an a/c compressor - if not the belt will come off the alternator pulley under the idler pulley and then straight across to the p/s pump. the truck is at a job site so i will try the repair with limited tools any tools that are a must have just a 3/8 ratchet and socket set to grab the tensioner bolt head cant remember the exact size - maybe 15mm and release the tension on the belt. .
