ok oil pressure specialists... i have a 77 318 m-886 military ambulance that saw duty in the first gulf war. oil pressure is consistently off the gauge at 100 lbs. changed the sensor and the guage.....still reads 100 lbs though on a good day it might drop to 80 for a few seconds at a time. i dunno......maybe the govt used a special oil pump for desert warfare so whats causing the problem oh cyber swaamis lol! .

i have a 77 318 m-886 military ambulance that saw duty in the first gulf war. oil pressure is consistently off the gauge at 100 lbs. odd..... changed the sensor and the guage.....still reads 100 lbs though on a good day it might drop to 80 for a few seconds at a time. have you put a good mechanical guage on it and checked pressure this would eliminate electrical problems. if you read that high with a mechanical guage the oiling system is plugged somewhere past the sensor tap which is all of the engine but the pump and filter. since the lifters arent tapping im betting its an electrical problem rather than a oil pressure. let us know whta you come up with for a pressure reading on a good mechanical guage. max life liberty and the pursuit of any jackass that threatens it. embellished usnavy slogan .
