Q: although its not exactly what i wanted in the beginning i think im sold on an 04 2500 crew cab 4x4 hemi dodge slt in white with black interior. the cummins is more along the lines of what i need but the hemi will do the job and it sure is fun to drive. they wouldnt give me a trade in figure for my rubicon because the estimator told me that he knows its worth more than he can give me. he says he will have people coming in specifically to make offers on my rubicon on monday so ill know by monday afternoon if im trading on this truck. if i have to wait to sell my rubicon and then purchase ill go for the 3500 cummins but im willing to take the 2500 hemi if i can get a good trade in for my jeep and the 2500 will do what i need to do anyway. for anyone in the market for a jeep see http//autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jspcarid=151576467 ill update you when i know more. -- nathan w. collier http//7slotgrille.com http//utilityoffroad.com .

nathan collier jeepmail@7slotgrille.com writes it will and the hemis a nice engine. but nate if theres any way to work it so you can get the cummins.... you know the rest. i can almost stomach getting taken on the vehicle price since im making a trade in or i could almost stomach getting taken on the vehicle trade in value since im making a trade in....but i cant take it both ways. i may ride it out a little longer and see what happens. -- nathan w. collier http//7slotgrille.com http//utilityoffroad.com i really like my 03 cummins 3500 ho but i should have waited for the 04 cummins 600......325 hp 600 ft.lbs. the day dc announced the new power #s was the day i realized why the dealer came off the sticker of the 03 13k without batting an eye. oh well. i shoulda known something was up. aw .

im guessing since you are talking about swapping a 318 youre not looking to take it racing. while both engines are solid the 318 is pretty disappointing in overall performance. you actually believe your load of bs that old slant-6 pumps out a lot of torque for its size and should get pretty decent mileage when kept tuned. yeah sure whatever you say. the /6 must put out about 200 lbs ft of torque at 1800-2000 rpm so if you have want to travel 45-50 mph be my guest maybe he actually wants to use his truck for something besides driving around to the original poster-if you like the truck its in good shape and you think it will make you look good in your red dress then just do it. i had a 69 gmc with a 292 six in it once upon a time i put a 454 in it and never looked back the six got 12 mpg and the 454 13 mpg if this poster likes the sixes so much sell it to him. from venve@bigfoot.com john v ill start watching reality tv shows when i can vote people off the planet. .
