i dont think that should take you more than a few minutes and maybe one hand tool. you didnt say what vehicle you have but the local autoparts store or quick oil change outfit probably has it in stock and you probably dont need anything put the filter. this is one of the standard maintenance proceedures for an a4 at 40k miles. i feel like this should be easy enough to do myself even though im a novice to diy car repair. anyone have any advice as to what to do what parts to buy or online resources that take you step by step through the process .
