acetone is quite a strong solvent and will harm the lubricity of the diesel fuel. you wont find me using it in my diesel. chryco service manager member sae i just read that 1 once of acetone in 10 gallons of diesel will increase milage and horsepower... any comments .

you got it backwards--its 10 gallons of acetone to 1 once of diesel. just wait until you see what that does to your milage. and when youre done with that perform a blood-letting on yourself. jigger wrote i just read that 1 once of acetone in 10 gallons of diesel will increase milage and horsepower... any comments .

well... i asked a couple of threads back for some diesel fuel specs and opinions... i did some online searching and as you know and i have seen here you cant take eerything on the net as gospel. this is why i am asking.. i dont plan to use acetone but it seemed like a good way to get something started on here... any other thoughts guys mark. just where did you just read such a thing the enquirer hell gm used to allow up to 6 gallons of unleaded gasoline in that junky 5.7 abortion they called a diesel in the oldsmobiles and chevys. didnt make it right though. -- ========= i just read that 1 once of acetone in 10 gallons of diesel will increase milage and horsepower... any comments .
