Q: lol yea but it doesnt go that fast in the driveway regardless of what my wife thinks. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving they cleaned the tb on my wifes car claiming that it was the cause of her car running poorly but all that it accomplished was to clean our my wallet. they said that the one in my ram also needed to be cleaned 50000 miles ago and i laughed at them. it still runs fine and still gets 16 mpg at speeds in excess of 80 mph at times. unless the engine stalls when you take your foot off the gas or has a hesitation or sag when you just start pressing the accelerator you probably dont need the t/b cleaned. at 80 mph the throttle plates are way past caring if the bore is dirty.. g denny .

i drove up to a jobsite and put my 05 bighorn cummins http//inlinediesel.com/trucks/3gen/1/index.html into park. i sat there for a second finishing some paperwork and got out to walk inside leaving the truck running so that it would be cool inside when i got done. as soon as i slammed the door shut the truck took off in reverse headed for the highway. i was finally able to run it down and get in to hit the brake. i cant quite figure out what happened and since i had sat stopped for several minutes before exiting i can only conclude that it jumped put of park somehow. anybody ever had this happen several times ive had a little trouble getting it into gear but dismissed it as being tight because its new. -- nathan w. collier http//inlinediesel.com http//7slotgrille.com http//utilityoffroad.com http//bighornrefrigeration.com .

hey max tell us how you really feel. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving yeah...........i have nothing better to do than post lies to groups...........fucking twit. post pics of the rusted out trans pan. thats a friggin lie if ever there was one. if the pan was in that bad a shape the amount of fluid leaking around the pan would have stopped the rust. but you never mentioned a trans pan leak just a seal you couldnt give the proper name for. then you post a link to a website that blames dc for the downfall of the roman empire might as well it blames everything else on them as if thats going to solve your problem. the fucking twit here is you. any other fucking twit would have spent his time writing a letter to dc asking for reimbursement for the repairs if in fact you had any proof they did somethong wrong. however you as the fucking twit wrote a list of problems and admitted that dc fixed all that occurred under warranty. do you think that they are fucking twits and will do more than what they promised under warranty i supposed you figure the fucking twit service manager should have had his secretary blow you while you waited for the truck -- max give a man a match and he is warm for a short while. light him on fire and he is warm for the rest of his life. yeah...........i have nothing better to do than post lies to groups...........fucking twit. .

@webtv.net says... well it looks like geekboy doesnt now what he is taking about and doesnt know much about trucks in general. he uses big words that he must have read in a dodge owners magazine and now all of the sudden he thinks hes a mechanical genious. i have owned trucks from the big 3 dodge ford and chevy.... my opinion the chevy trucks are the best all around yes i admit that the styling is getting a littledated but i still think they have the other two beat. ford i have nothing aginst but my opinion if you are gonna buy a big truck look a like just buy the f-250 and have it over with i like the new ford body style better than the last feminine looking 1997 to 2004 trucks. but thats not saying much. but as far as fuel economy goes the bulky ford is nick n tuck with the dodge. chevy= better performance fuel economy and bang for your buck in my opinion. i have a hemi and its claim of 345 hp....is a joke.....i bet if you put it on a dyno it wouldnt hit 150 hp. poor fuel economy with sucky performance.. i think the dodge designers need to go back to school. html body bgcolor=blacktext=white p align=center embed img src=http//www.angelfire.com/rock/cooper/skyline.gif /body /html well my supposedly weak hemi stomps all over my last truck a 295 hp sierra z71 ext cab with 3.73 gears. the ram weighs about 400 pounds more and beats it by at least .25 seconds in a drag race. launching it is very difficult as the rear bounces around or it smokes the hell out of the tires. the gm trucks have the trans and computer set up so that wheelspin is pretty difficult. just punch it and go.. its much stronger than the gm 5.3 and they arent bad. i would take a 5.3 over the 5.9 dodge any day and i owned three vehicles with them. you must not have driven an f150 yet now thats on the weak side. wait a second. i had a f-150 and it was damn quick. it did say lightning on the front fenders though.g well now thats a little different. a neighbor bought a new 04 f150 almost the day they came out and its slow. the 5.4 is not all that great. we traded trucks one morning and he really liked mine. i liked his too it was just..slow. they are a little anemic. but they seem to last. most hemis dyno at about 260-275 at the rear wheels and that means 345 hp is about right. if the hemi had the nissan titans trans set up you would be amazed.. so the hemi has 20 more hp that the 05 cummins 610 hp yeah but a lot less torque and torque is what makes the wheels go round... i had a 79 trans am with the olds 403 in it. stock it was weak but after a cam kit headers intake heads ported 455 ones and a recurved distributor it was a torque junkies dream car. it had throttle response unlike anything i have ever had before or since. another insane thing was the gears it had stock it had a 2.41 posi! after the engine work i could smoke the tires as long as i wanted to and after i found a disc braked rear from another car with 3.23 it was amazing as long as you were very light footed or the tires spun. mileage wasnt bad 14 around town and almost 20 on the highway. it was a very scary car to drive when it was raining i got it out of shape a couple of times just by getting on the gas a touch too much. some of it was the 70 sized tires but the speed it ran on the top end of the drag strip showed it was doing fine in the power department. but that throttle hit...my mother drove it once and it scared the crap out of her! that was the point i was trying to make further down in this thread. that the torque prduced by my 05 610 with 410s requires a light touch of go pedal on dry roads and in the wet a very very light touch. i stupidly sold it and still miss it. it was totally reliable except for a mysterious case of vapor lock hot weather surging and popping that turned out to be a corked up fuel line. when they started putting injector cleaner in the gas it solved it after a year + of trying to cure it and a lot of $$$$. i know the feeling the cars we never should have sold. i guess for me it would be a toss up. many many years ago a 69 camaro with a 427 in it. had 433s in it the torque was about unmanageble. made for a hell of a street racer though. recently a vette z06. i guess the z06 was more practical in that you could do more with it but for pure rush id have to go with the camaro. the only real thing i liked more on the sierra was the gas mileage and thats still not a big deal.. agreed. worrying about mileage when you are driveing a truck i have never been able to follow. what rear gears are in the hemi 3.92 mandatory if you have 20 wheels. if you have 17 wheels you get 3.55 standard and 3.92 optional. i wish 4.10s were available i would have gotten them the mileage wouldnt really have changed much if at all. i was shocked how much difference there was from 3.55 to 3.92. i suppose you could look around at a different tire w

1. paint peeled off front bumper. im calling bs here. paint and body are covered for 12k only. if you got it fixed under warranty thats a good thing and commendable action on dcs part. what does this have to do with the price of tea in china it still pealed of which is not exactly a sign of quality. here we go again you dont want to address the issue. the issue is dcs customer service not how the paint peeled. but hey lets look at this... the paint pealed on a bumper. now how is it that the paint got to peeling could it be that he hit something we dont know because he doesnt say. hard to find fault with anyone if the facts arent presented. but one fact was presented dc fixed the problem. dc 1 justme 0 2. seals in a/c were replaced. so sounds like cheap rubber seals to me. they all use the same seals as refrigerant is kinda picky about what itll eat through and what it wont. but until the facts are presented this could be nothing more than a random failure. but dc apparently fixed the problem. dc 2 justme 0 3. transmission shift linkage replaced. more bs. exactly how did it get broken this is a dealer prep check item if it broke you broke it. lol now you are the one giving bs. dealer prep item lol!!! that doesnt mean they actually even looked at it and how exactly did he break it sorry it does mean they actually looked at it because part of prepping a new vehicle is looking at the underside for damage caused in transit including linkage. then it must be test driven at least 10 miles and ill bet the linkage worked then. as such it was broken after being sold. so the owner broke it and dc replaced it. dc 3 justme 0 4. front upper ball joints replaced. finally an issue that is real. and they replaced them under warranty. sounds like everything went right on this issue. dealer told me it would take awhile to get all the bugs out. and thats possible as it is with all mechanical devices. really how many time have you brought your vehicle back to work out these bugs. sounds to me like even the dealer saw this particular vehicle as a lemon. actually in the case of my 2000 ram it saw the dealer 11 times for a pull to the right. in my case the dealer was the problem. on one visit i told them about the problem it was put on the service order and when i picked it up the problem was still there. said the service manager well we didn know about it. funny i said you friggin typed it in to the service order so someone knew about it. as to whether or not this vehicle was a lemon im calling bs on that too. none of the problems were with the drivetrain and none of the problems were anything that kept the vehicle in the shop a majority of the time it was owned. 2. waterpump so its not unheard of at 60k plus. that is still a fairly short time for a failure. sounds like dc trying to save a buck at the customers expense again. rubbish. in order to prove that youd have to prove that the majority of water pumps failed at that interval. as it is we dont know why it failed but it did. its not unheard of and its no ones particular fault. 4. y pipe on exhaust. i smell abuse of vehicle..... please explain. a y pipe is very hard to get to rust out due to heat. further its pretty tough to hit the ground with it. so if it failed its probably from some sort of activity with the truck that is above and beyond the normal scope of operation and design. 5. cruise control stopped working electronics fail anytime they want. lol especially when they are made from sub-standard parts. and im sure you have proof of this yup thats right you need proof when you make claims like this. 6. front rear seal on transmission what you called it does not exist. normal seepage is not a leak. how bad was it what exactly is normal seepage. i never see so much as a drop under either my wifes intrepid or my 240sx which is a relic compared to his vehicle. have you checked the fluids lately maybe theyre so low they arent seeping. or maybe its the dirt that clumped onto the wet spot that keeps it from dripping. i havent seen a vehicle yet that didnt seep a bit of fluid at the 60-100k stretch. evidence is the dirt clinging to the drivetrain. 7.flimsy dodge box liner warps when sun shines on it. so get a real one. dodge didnt design nor manufacture the box liner. its not a dc issue. bs. they were the ones who installed it for top dollar they should be responsible for what they sell although this may be a dealer specific screw-up. bingo. and furthermore its something you can check on before buying flimsy stuff. 10. seat belts wont retract. and theres no user problems there why is everything he has a user problem because if he didnt use it it wouldnt fail it would be brand new. duh. walked into that one didnt ya regardless seatbelt retraction is generally fouled up by one of two things

i doubt that you are trying to post lies but some of that crap is really a stretch to think that it happens all that often. with what you described as your problems i can see why you would be bitter about both the vehicle and the make and buy into the worst possible descriptions but my last two dc vehicles were and are just fine. not problem free but no worse than any other make. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving yeah...........i have nothing better to do than post lies to groups...........fucking twit. .

i have an 02 durango which i bought used and did not get the owners manual. can anyone provide me with the instructions for programming the built in garage door opener hold #1 and #3 down on the overhead until the display starts blinking. then press and hold the oem transmitter button and the desired button on the overhead for a few seconds the display will either blink or will change the rate of blinking - going from memory here. if your opener uses a rolling code you have to put the receiver into learning mode consult your openers manual then press and hold your durangos transmitter button until the receiver indicates its learned the new transmitter again usually a blinking light. note that on most openers you only have 30 seconds to transmit once you put it into learning mode so youll probably need two people. incidentally if you want http//www.techauthority.daimlerchrysler.com sells owners manuals for $10 .
