Why change fluid in front/rear differentials?

they also make a crew cab that has full sized rear doors. i thought dodge was doing the same thing. dont i wish.... ive been wanting a real crew cab for about 6 years now... but ive got this contract with dc that locks me in .

do i need to pull the dash board apart or will the resister block be accessable without pulling it off look up under the dash and youll see it... where can i get a replacement besdides going to the dealer the other dealer across town. how much is an approximate cost its a $3 part so the dealer shouldnt charge you more than $20 for it. .
