yes... but now the dealer tells me that there is only one before the converter - part number 56041212ae which contradicts what all the parts store websites seem to say one on each side. well it depends on whether you have a hdc federal or a mdc california-emissions engine. the hdc heavy-duty cycle engine has one o2 sensor in each exhaust down pipe before the cats two cats. the mdc medium-duty cycle engine has one o2 sensor mounted in the cat itself jsut before the catalyst and one o2 sensor in the exhaust pipe after the cat. if you have two cats and each has an o2 sensor upstream from it you have the hdc engine and b1s1 bank 1 sensor 1 refers to the sensor coming from the drivers-side exhaust manifold. b2s1 would be the passenger-side. if you have a single cat with one o2 sensor pre-cat and one post-cat the pre-cat sensor is referred to as b1s1 while the post-cat sensor is b1s2. .
