What do I do?

Q: chapter 8 maintenance schedules page 385 every 3750 miles. do you see the little cross and diamond symbols the diamond symbol which appears every 7500 miles denotes tier 1 epa 250hp or 305hp engines only the cross symbol which appears every 3750 miles denotes california lev 235hp engines only so unless you have a 235hp engine you would fall under the 7500 mile interval. the 3750 interval has absolutely nothing to do with maintaining the engine and everything to do with cas emissions laws. .

suddenly without warning brent d exclaimed 4/9/2005 632 am many of you have responded in a way that i anticipated except beekeep. he obviously knows me well. yes i was on the rag. one response indicated that a dealer chose to be more expensive. what a stupid statement. independents are not required to pay 3k+ a month in special tools. they are not required to send techs to special training on the vehicle you payed 40k+ for. a dealer is. how do you think they cover the cost for this expertise and special equipment you may feel i have a bad attitude and wouldnt want me working on your vehicle. your choice. youre the idiot that forgot this was a ng and not the real world. i feel i am pretty damn responsible and professional if i direct my frustrations on the ng and not the customer. dont you have frustrations that need vented in your profession we all do. duhhh!! you dumbshits. this is the better place to do it you just dont like the reality of it. brent yes they choose to pay gobs of money for special tools and training. what im questioning is are they really worth the price the dealerships are paying and passing down to the consumer brent youre hearing something i didnt really say or didnt intend to say which would be my fault. i never said you were rude to the customer and yes an ng is exactly the place to direct your frustrations about your customers i hang at another group thats exactly that for my profession - computer tech. but your attitude toward the customer annoyed me you didnt tell him everything he needed to know because of his attitude. thats just not good customer service in my book. and calling me an idiot and folks in the group dumbshits certainly doesnt make me want to listen to your arguments. you never did answer why you couldnt try the nice/honest attitude for a while. if i find theres something additionally wrong with a customers computer even if theyre completely computer phobic or hostile yea we get those too ill *still* ask them in terms at their level of understanding theres this other thing wrong too would you like me to fix that while im here. if they then say no fine then it was their choice. oh and if the independent can fix my truck perhaps they did pay for the special tools and training or found them cheaper from some non-dealer source and if they can fix it without the special tools are they really needed so i truly dont understand the special tools and training that supposedly makes the dealers prices worthwhile. ive had a dealership that didnt have a clue about what was wrong with my vehicle after multiple visits which they admitted because they didnt see many of them city mitsu dealer that didnt sell many pickups and stopped selling them shortly after i bought mine. another dealer in a rural area of another state saw many more pickups knew exactly what was wrong with my truck and fixed it. so is this specialist knowledge special training or simply that they see a lot of them im genuinely asking the group this is it completely impossible that independents can get at least some of the same tools and training as a dealer or that a lot of what makes a mechanic a specialist is simply that theyve had loads of experience on a particular vehicle or brand except in terms of warranty work or a recall i didnt know about ive never had an independent tell me the dealer would have to fix that and whatever was broke still gets and stays fixed. im trying to understand the special tools and training that supposedly makes the dealers prices worthwhile. ive had a dealership that didnt have a clue about what was wrong with my vehicle after multiple visits which they admitted because they didnt see many of them city mitsu dealer that didnt sell many pickups and stopped selling them shortly after i bought mine. another dealer in a rural area of another state saw many more pickups knew exactly what was wrong with my truck and fixed it. so is this specialist knowledge special training or simply that they see a lot of them i certainly dont want to denegrate dealerships and the mechanics that work there. until recently ive almost always gone to the dealership for actual problems with my vehicles. its only been with rising prices partially my own fault since i own a more expensive vehicle now that ive started going to independents. im only taking exception to the prices at dealerships not to the professionalism and expertise of the mechanics ive personally dealt with. as a consumer who has moved about a lot and thus has the experience of multiple dealers and independents in different parts of the us and the world i truly havent seen much overall difference in service aside from the price. id love to hear an answer to this not only from brent but from some of the other folks here that work in dealerships and independents. jmc .

dodgeewe wrote preamble monday i went to the philadelphia auto show and fell in love with alot of trucks! i was surprised that there were more there than the ram that i could love. all in all i really loved the ram look back in the 90s but now im not so keen on it. but anyway i have visited the dodge dealerships around here lately and havent been too impressed. slime-ball car salesmen were all i ran into at the dodge dealerships and this wasnt so 10 years ago or even 3 years ago when i thought about buying a new truck then and went with the ptcruiser instead. i was really turned off by the dodge dealerships.... so i visited a few other dealerships of trucks that i liked at the autoshow...... friday i turned in my truck. it had 98000 miles on it... it was a 95 ram 1500 larime slt 2wd longbed. heres where i eat my words from a post a few weeks ago.... well kinda.... i bought a nissan titan kingcab. yeah its a foreign company but the truck is made in ohio. its an 04 new off-road 4x4. i gotta tell you its nice. they gave me kelly blue book for trade in on the truck. wasnt bad been having a few problems with the truck lately. noticed the rear bumpers chrome peeling and the bottom of the door had started to rust on the drivers side. besides that the air-conditioning didnt work. i cried when they took away my truck. the guys in the dealership musta thought i was nuts! i still cry thinking about it today. dont get me wrong... i love driving the titan but its just not the same... the ram was my first new vehicle and i loved it to death. now its just like yeah i got a new truck big deal. there are memories in that truck... 10 years worth. i know ill have my memories forever and even a new ram wouldnt have done the trick. i sure hope you guys will still let me hang out and be dodgeewe and dodgebabe... would sure miss you guys if i had to go esp. since i just started to hang back out michele -- good lord i hope you dont have a dog--if it died wed never hear the end of it! - .

i saw these on a site a few years ago. dont remember where though. you drop the plow down on these and you can push it wherever you want. if i cant find them i suppose the ones for a car or truck can be made to work. roy .
