youre a comedian nosey. these straps are small about 1 inch in width and are on top of the back seat just under the window. .

the straps behind the rear seat are for child seats. the seat will connect to these from the top. kevin g. ive got a 2001 dodge 2500 quad cab. there are 3 straps on the top of the back seat. any body out there know what they are for .

child restraint tethers; there are a total of four in the qc they are installed on the front seat at the bottom rear of the right front seat on the inboard seat adjuster on the rear cab wall directly behind the front center seat and for attaching rear restraints there is one each on the rear bulkhead centered behind the drivers seat and the passenger seat. correctly fitted and adjusted rear restraints or rear seat belts are recommended for all children under 12. the air bag can be a killer up front and the front seat isnt healthy for children even with the passenger air bag disabled. full instructions and precautions are on pages 35 through 47 of the dodge owners manual 81-326-1024 for the 01 diesel. rick ive got a 2001 dodge 2500 quad cab. there are 3 straps on the top of the back seat. any body out there know what they are for .

didnt know that they were in the 01s but the child seat restraint it is. do you have metal loops where the back meets the bottom cushion as well my 03 has those and its for an even more evolved child restraint system called latch. i just wish i could fit my butt in a child seat and drive from the back g. --mike ive got a 2001 dodge 2500 quad cab. there are 3 straps on the top of the back seat. any body out there know what they are for .
